I'll never forget the day our Beauty Buyers told me that QVC was going to start offering make up by Bobbi Brown. I had been using the products for years, and in my book, Bobbi was (is!) IT. I've had the opportunity and pleasure to meet a lot of famous people in my years at QVC, but Bobbi is at the top of my list. I so admire how she balances work and family, her dedication to helping women, her no nonsense approach to beauty and her laid-back style. Not to mention her savvy smarts as a business woman and her devotion to clean and healthy living. She is a star...and I have really en... Continue Reading

I know they call Memorial Day weekend the unofficial start to summer...but around our house, the holiday weekend marks the beginning of our outdoor entertaining season. My husband, Doug, and I love having friends over in the summertime...whether it be for a thoroughly planned shindig or an impromptu BBQ by the pool, warm weather equals party time at our house! And while the easy, breezy mood of summer is usually our mantra for get togethers, I still like to find ways to put little touches of "special" out for our guests. As someone who thinks anything can be renovated with a ... Continue Reading

Here is my next installment of “At Home with….." I recently was able to grab my dear friend, Linda Dano for a quick interview and I asked her my entertaining and home decor questions. She is so gracious... and so effortlessly stylish …check out her answers and, of course the most important question, “Were there cookies again?” :-) Of COURSE there were! They were my Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies and you can get the recipe here!

I am working on my last minute preparations for my "Coastal Living" You're Home with Jill show and I suddenly remembered this little DIY video I did last year that ties in perfectly with our theme. If you missed it last year, click below:
I hope my tips get your creative juices flowing... let me know what great ideas you come up with to upcycle your seashells! :-)

Had a few minutes to sit down with my dear friend, Clinton Kelly while he was here at QVC. I asked him about his home decorating and entertaining style and we shared a cookie or three (lol!) while we chatted. It was most enjoyable…hope you think so too!

A lot has changed in the kitchen since the days my Grandma Metzger would whip up a batch of her homemade rolls or bake up one of her delicious pies. Refrigerators have doubled in size, ovens now have convection, bakeware is non stick, and spatulas are made out of silicone. What hasn't changed in all that time however is the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. Industrial in design but chic in all of its colors, the Kitchen Aid mixer is a prize in any home kitchen. I started wanting one when I was a teenager! I would see it in the homes of my friends, whose Moms always seemed ... Continue Reading

I get so excited as March 1st approaches each year at QVC. Our Big Bonanza Silver event is a tradition here, and I'm lucky to have been a part of it for the past 20 years. Do any of you remember the old fashioned, saloon girl style dresses we used to wear? What about the way the sets used to look like an old mining town? Fun to look at...but I have to say, I'm relieved that I don't have to wear a corset and sit on a bale of hay anymore!
This year, the Today's Special Value is actually a throwback to the very first piece of jewelry I ever presented on QVC...a riccio bracelet ... Continue Reading

Hello everyone and happy almost-but-not-quite-there-yet Spring! I for one am so ready to break out all of my fun springy decorating accessories and I don’t think I can stand to wait another minute. My upcoming You’re Home With Jill Show will feature lots of fun, festive decorating tips and accents to at least make our indoors feel a little more spring-like even if the outdoors where you live isn’t quite cooperating as yet. :-)
To go along with that, I wanted to re-share my Polka Pots decorating tip video for some of those tired, old flowerpots that yo... Continue Reading

Trevor picked the name...it was his turn to name the dog since Kylie named Duke. It has grown on me...and seems to fit!
To quote my friend Jen's daughter, Ella Gracie, "he is the cutest puppy of all puppies that were ever puppies!" I completely agree!
Our lives are going to change with this sweet addition...and we can't wait! Let the tales of Duke and his sidekick Brosky begin:)

Happy Birthday to my sweet, fun loving friend, Carolyn Pollack.
This is us 10 years ago on my wedding day.....Carolyn was one of my bridesmaids and helped plan the best bridal shower along with designing jewelry for the junior bridesmaids and Kylie to wear. We became friends for life within minutes of meeting over 18 years ago! Carolyn is the cool, hip, big sister I never had....we have had some great times together......from shopping the Plaza in Santa Fe to singing at the top of our lungs in my car....to laughing so hard we were crying and crying at times as we consoled, she ...
