A Sparkling, Stackable, Sculpture-Filled Summer

Hello everyone. Can you believe it is already July? This summer is really flying by, and I hope that you are all creating your own special memories. I think that it is so important to take time to enjoy the beautiful weather. Ron and I have been doing just that. I always say that if I did not spend my life creating jewelry, I would be making sculptures. There is something very moving about giant, life-size pieces and I especially love when they are outdoors. Because my jewelry is scaled so differently, creating giant sculptures would give me a new sense of freedom. This summer, Ron and I hav... Continue Reading

Hello All, I’m so excited to be back with you for our June shows, and to tell you about my fantastic trip to the Couture show in Las Vegas last week.  Every year I look forward to Couture, which is one of the most important shows in the US for the luxury jewelry industry.  Couture is a chance for me to meet with industry partners, stone suppliers, and media from around the world.  I have so many ideas for my new collections from this show that my head is spinning! The setting for Couture is the Wynn Hotel, which immediately impresses with its carousel made of flowers and... Continue Reading

Hello to all and Happy Spring!  It’s been a busy couple of months for me and I have some exciting news to share about some developments in my business.  Everyone who knows me will tell you that, after my family, the thing I am most passionate about in the world is designing beautiful things to delight my customers.  For me, the creative process is as natural as breathing, and I can’t imagine my life without an idea for a new design forming in the back of my mind. As many of you may know, I recently joined the growing family of brands at Xcel Brands, Inc. which is go... Continue Reading

A Quick Two Day Trip to Balmy Bangkok Thailand and the New TSV

Last Reply by Pamula 1401383223.353 | Started by Judith Ripka in Jewelry Talk, Judith Ripka, Hosts & Personalities

In between my last appearance at QVC in early February and my upcoming shows this weekend, I took a quick trip to Bangkok to visit my factories there and to work with them on future products.  While the cold wave hit the U.S., I was sweltering in humid 95 degree weather, where my clothes stuck to my body, and my hair went all frizzy, so no pictures of me. I work with factories throughout the world, some in the U.S., others in Italy, India, and Thailand.  Each factory has a unique expertise and skill, so as I create the concept for a new design, my production team determines which fa... Life Is Good

There is no greater joy than becoming a parent.  And I’m blessed to have experienced this three times with my beautiful sons. Close in age, they grew up together, going to the same high school and even sharing the same friends. Yet as similar as their circumstances were, their personalities could not be more individual or distinct. Here’s what I mean. Peter was my first. Focused, driven and independent, he took his role as “older brother” quite seriously. It was clear from the start that Peter was the type of person to set a goal and follow through. His real esta... Hi Everyone: Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a happy, healthy and fun holiday and a great New Year. After my last December shows, I took a long awaited  restful vacation, spent mostly with family and friends, catching up on my reading, relaxing, taking long walks with Ron in Florida and, as usual, making, with the best of intentions, my new year resolutions. Chief among them were to focus on eating well (including no more French fries). But so far, so good, except for the French fries.            I would certainly love to hear about your resolutions ... From Russia with Love

After my last QVC show, I was “Back in the USSR” as the Beatles sang, or more properly today, the Russia Federation. Ron and I traveled to Moscow for the Press Party and Gala for the opening of my new and larger shop, since after three years of selling my jewelry in Moscow and growing the brand we needed more space. So before I turn to my upcoming December shows and new goodies for you, let me share some of my Moscow moments. First some facts – Moscow was founded in the early 13th century and considers itself the third Rome behind the Eternal City and Constantinople. L... Continue Reading

Hi everyone: Well, it’s QVC time again for me!  October ended as briskly as it started.  I traveled extensively in October and November, visiting stores which carry my jewelry, doing shows, and preparing for the Holiday selling season. I started in Canton, Ohio, where a long time account threw a wonderful party with over 200 delightful guests, to showcase the new collections.  The exciting evening ended with a raffle drawing for one of my necklaces. *The Party Spread   *Wrist Candy   *This is how they do it in Canton *Up to the neck in Ripka ... Hello again,  I am very excited that I am returning to QVC with shows on Wednesday and Thursday October 9th and 10th. I am excited not only to be at QVC but also to be introducing a Today’s Special Value and several new collections which form a part of my holiday presentations.  It is the time of year again when my thoughts turn to my own holiday gift giving. I have a large family with children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sisters, nieces and nephews and an extended family of friends and co-workers for whom I traditionally buy holiday gifts. I start looking and purchasin... Continue Reading
