Hello everyone. I cannot believe that the fall equinox is less than two weeks away. This time of year always has me thinking about change and I especially love seeing these seasonal changes in nature.
One of my favorite things to see during these months is the northern lights. These bright curtains of color light up the sky with beautiful hues of pink, green, violet, and blue.
When you look at my fall collection, you will see how this dynamic time of year influenced my designs.
My newest Interchangeable Sterling Cuff is a perfect example. The easy-on, easy-off piece has a... Continue Reading

The end of summer is bittersweet. I love the longer days, pleasant temperatures and spending time outside but I am also looking forward to everything that autumn has to offer.
Before the summer is over, I am spending as much time outside as I can. One of my greatest sources of inspiration for my jewelry is the beauty of nature. From scenic sunsets to blue skies, I always feel very inspired when I have the chance to witness these natural events.
Recently, Ron and I went to a dinner party at our friends’ home and I was struck by the stunning sky and the remarkable se... Continue Reading

Hello everyone. Can you believe it is already July? This summer is really flying by, and I hope that you are all creating your own special memories. I think that it is so important to take time to enjoy the beautiful weather. Ron and I have been doing just that.
I always say that if I did not spend my life creating jewelry, I would be making sculptures. There is something very moving about giant, life-size pieces and I especially love when they are outdoors. Because my jewelry is scaled so differently, creating giant sculptures would give me a new sense of freedom.
This summer, Ron and I hav... Continue Reading

I’m so excited to be back with you for our June shows, and to tell you about my fantastic trip to the Couture show in Las Vegas last week. Every year I look forward to Couture, which is one of the most important shows in the US for the luxury jewelry industry. Couture is a chance for me to meet with industry partners, stone suppliers, and media from around the world. I have so many ideas for my new collections from this show that my head is spinning!
The setting for Couture is the Wynn Hotel, which immediately impresses with its carousel made of flowers and... Continue Reading

Hello to all and Happy Spring! It’s been a busy couple of months for me and I have some exciting news to share about some developments in my business. Everyone who knows me will tell you that, after my family, the thing I am most passionate about in the world is designing beautiful things to delight my customers. For me, the creative process is as natural as breathing, and I can’t imagine my life without an idea for a new design forming in the back of my mind.
As many of you may know, I recently joined the growing family of brands at Xcel Brands, Inc. which is go... Continue Reading

In between my last appearance at QVC in early February and my upcoming shows this weekend, I took a quick trip to Bangkok to visit my factories there and to work with them on future products. While the cold wave hit the U.S., I was sweltering in humid 95 degree weather, where my clothes stuck to my body, and my hair went all frizzy, so no pictures of me.
I work with factories throughout the world, some in the U.S., others in Italy, India, and Thailand. Each factory has a unique expertise and skill, so as I create the concept for a new design, my production team determines which fa... Continue Reading

There is no greater joy than becoming a parent. And I’m blessed to have experienced this three times with my beautiful sons.
Close in age, they grew up together, going to the same high school and even sharing the same friends. Yet as similar as their circumstances were, their personalities could not be more individual or distinct. Here’s what I mean.
Peter was my first. Focused, driven and independent, he took his role as “older brother” quite seriously. It was clear from the start that Peter was the type of person to set a goal and follow through. His real esta... Continue Reading

Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a happy, healthy and fun holiday and a great New Year.
After my last December shows, I took a long awaited restful vacation, spent mostly with family and friends, catching up on my reading, relaxing, taking long walks with Ron in Florida and, as usual, making, with the best of intentions, my new year resolutions. Chief among them were to focus on eating well (including no more French fries). But so far, so good, except for the French fries.
I would certainly love to hear about your resolutions ... Continue Reading

After my last QVC show, I was “Back in the USSR” as the Beatles sang, or more properly today, the Russia Federation. Ron and I traveled to Moscow for the Press Party and Gala for the opening of my new and larger shop, since after three years of selling my jewelry in Moscow and growing the brand we needed more space.
So before I turn to my upcoming December shows and new goodies for you, let me share some of my Moscow moments.
First some facts – Moscow was founded in the early 13th century and considers itself the third Rome behind the Eternal City and Constantinople. L... Continue Reading
