A belated Happy Mother's Day to all !! We had a lovely weekend here in eastern PA for Mother's Day this year, and as I wandered about my garden (mainly pulling any sneaky weeds who dared to appear after the rainstorm the day before), I noticed how many roses are already blooming!! I'm not sure if it's because I waited till a bit later to prune them this year, or because of the Cottage Farms Rose Booster (which they love), but they have already had a huge growth spurt this Spring and it's not even June yet! I went and grabbed my camera to share a few photos with you here in today's blog posti... Continue Reading

Fur Baby for the Month of May.....Meet Lucy!!

Last Reply by txmemaw 1368988100.337 | Started by Carolyn Gracie in For the Home Talk, Pet Lovers, Hosts & Personalities

Lucy is our tiniest cat. She came to live with us, along with her sister Isabelle, the year before we moved to Pennsylvania. I was attending a pet rescue event in Santa Monica, California in 2003, and I spotted the two tiniest Persian Tortie girls I'd ever seen. They were like tiny lions, with shades of orange, brown, black and white swirls and stripes.....two "ferocious" little munchkins! They were the "leftover" pair, because they were so small and had very "smushed"  little faces due to  "over-breeding", that occasionally occurs with Persians. But I, and my god-daughter, Ka... An Inviting Place....A Peaceful Setting

Greetings, Gardening Friends! How is your garden growing along this Spring?? This week I've nearly finished my planting, although my pal Eric Wallien has promised to send me some special favorites in a surprise package later this week, so I am anxiously awaiting what he will choose for my garden, now that the Roberta's team is back home again in Indiana!! Despite planting lots of things I ordered from Cottage Farms and Roberta's this season, I still have some spots left to fill....mostly around my newly refurbished garden shed, and around my pet memorial garden area. I've found some wonderful... Continue Reading

Come On! Flash Those Pearly Whites!!

Started by Carolyn Gracie in Wellness & Health, Beauty's Best Gifts, TSV Talk 1367009090.247

I've always been a fanatic about my teeth. Learned from my parents to always take great care of them. Had braces for several years as a kid, and have always LOVED to smile!!   Over the years, as a coffee drinker and fan of things like blueberries, chocolate, and the occasional glass of red wine, I've noticed my Pearly Whites were not quite as white as they used to be. So, I tried many of the products and procedures available to whiten and brighten my teeth. Some of them worked pretty well, and others, not so much. That is why I was very excited to try our Today's Special V... Continue Reading

I Dig Gardening!!

Greetings Fellow Gardeners! Things are starting to happen FAST in my garden areas this past week!  As my friend Eric Wallien of Roberta's said, when he stopped by a few days ago, "WOW! You guys sure have done a lot of work around here lately!" He was right!! Last week, my landscapers and I worked for three solid days (you wonder what I do on my days off?!?) to get my gardens in shape for this season! We weeded and trimmed, hauled off the debris and old mulch and laid down the weed preventative before installing the new mulch. We power washed the deck and the fencing and the furniture,... At Last! A Rechargeable Fountain That Can Run Anytime!

Last Reply by TonnaFL 1366803883.28 | Started by Carolyn Gracie in In the Garden, Hosts & Personalities, TSV Talk

Our Today's Special Value Bernini Rechargeable Fountain was SUPER popular in my Garden Party Show this morning and is still available in case you missed it! In fact, I just placed my order for the Bronze color choice. Like many of you, I love my solar fountains but have wished for one that could run on a shady day, at night, or even indoors in the foyer or sunroom, but did not want to go to the trouble and expense of having an electrician and a plumber out to the house to install it. Today's TSV is the answer! It is absolutely beautiful, full of curb appeal and is battery operated, W... Continue Reading

This is my "HAPPY TIME"!!

Started by Carolyn Gracie in In the Garden, Pet Lovers, Hosts & Personalities 1366230559.88

My Cottage Farms and Roberta's plants started arriving a few days ago, and at this time of the year, I always feel like Steve Martin in that oldie-but-goodie film, "The Jerk", when he runs up the driveway, all excited,  yelling "The new phone book is here!! The new phone book is here!!" :D  That's about how excited I get when I start receiving the plants I've been ordering from QVC since January, knowing I can finally get started with my planting!! So far,in the past week or so, I've received my Cottage Farms Reblooming Irises, in sets of blue, as well as the Rainbow set, plus my Blu... Continue Reading

April's Fur Baby - Daffodil our Rescue Pup

Last Reply by animaLLover 1367904977.71 | Started by Carolyn Gracie in In the Garden, Pet Lovers, Hosts & Personalities

My Fur Baby of the Month for April is our rescue doggie, DAFFODIL!! Daffodil was adopted a little over a year ago, from Main Line Animal Rescue in the Philadelphia area (www.mlar.org) where I am an active volunteer. She had been brought there about 6 months earlier as a puppy, after being thrown out of a second story window by her previous owner. (Can you even imagine!?!?) Well, the wonderful folks at MLAR took very good care of her and when I met her, in December of 2011, she was already as good as new. I loved her from the start, but the funny thing is, she was adopted TWICE over the next ... Continue Reading
