This time of year can be so busy. The hustle and bustle of preparing for the holidays can leave us all feeling overwhelmed. What better way to slow down then to spend time with those you love doing something special?
One of my fondest memories from when I was little was cookie making with my Grammy and Mom. I looked so forward to that afternoon. We always had such fun! And of course, ate way too much. Now that I have children of my own and my Grammy is no longer with us, cookie making day is even more special. I love watching all five of the kiddies come together and do something with their M... With school just a few days away, the thought of not having my kiddies at home with me is just too much to take! This summer has definitely been one for the books. My husband and I were able to have a few date nights at one of our most favorite spots, QVC, spending time with you all. The kids spent countless hours being water-logged in the pool, and we were able to visit our own quiet sanctuary at the Jersey Shore!
All good things always do come to an end, but not without one last hoorah! To finish off this amazing summer, I am so excited to be able to bring you the Ke... Continue Reading

July came and went in the blink of an eye. Before we know it, it will be time for new backpacks and back to school shopping. We aren't ready to let go of summer, just yet. So we sat down and came up with some ideas for our "Rest of Summertime Fun Bucket List." The kids and I also found a great fun activity to keep track of them!
Here's what you need to make your own:
- Large sand bucket
- Two sided velcro dots
- Marker or pen
- Multi colored paper
- List of all of your fun summertime ideas
First, cut the paper (or colored cardstock as we used) i... Continue Reading

Easter is such a special time and we enjoy spending time with our entire family. Here's a few ideas we came up with that I wanted to share. They are all quick and easy and you could incorporate them into your own holiday planning.
What a perfect way to welcome your guests with!
This was so easy! All you need is two circular wreaths (one slightly larger) and one heart shaped wreath found at any craft store. Attach them together in the shape of a rabbit with wire. And tie a little green ribbon around his neck! Attach another small ribbon at his ears to attach to the d... Continue Reading

Daylight savings came at us hard and fast! You wouldn't think one measly hour would make such a difference, but in a household where every moment counts - it sure does! We had to get creative and find a few fun ways to get the little ones out of bed and to the bus stop on time. Dare I say mornings have even been a little fun? Here's what has been working for us - and all of these ideas are Team Epps (Cassidy, Chloe, Lily, Brady and Cole) approved.
And the BEST (fastest) Dressed Goes To…Set a timer and whoever gets themselves ready first wins.
This means teeth brushed, clothes on, an... Continue Reading

Well. It's official— Spring is well within our reach! When we enjoyed the recent, slightly warmer weather here, Team Epps had a few things they said they were most looking forward to with the warmer weather. We were even able to do some of them :)
Warmer weather bike rides topped the list. Our favorite time to do this is at the end of the day...
Driveway artwork competitions. It can get a little fierce but we have a great time!
Tana even had a voice - she said she is most excited for walks on the trail without having to navigate through ice and ... Continue Reading

This has been a harsh winter for us here in the West Chester, PA area. Many school days have been cancelled, started late, and ended early due to interruptions from Mother Nature. After being in the house for several days, the activity ideas were running low. Also running low - the children’s’ patience and usually good natured attitudes! Squabbles were all too common and this Mom was nearing the end of her rope.
As I was clearing the breakfast dishes and rustling around in the pantry I came across a family project that we had started but had forgotten... Continue Reading
