Last Reply by Tad 1422747784.3 | Started by Jennifer Coffey in The Q We Love, Hosts & Personalities, Q News

It's National Compliment Day! Which in my opinion should be every day, but I love that it gets its own spot in the calendar to remind us to pass along a positive thought or two. Or 26... I thought I would use today to share with you one thing that I love about some of my wonderful co-workers here at QVC. The challenge wasn't coming up with one for each, the challenge was keeping it to only one!! Here we go:  Gabrielle: stays cool and calm in any situation. I'm striving to be more like her! Kerstin: holds God and family above all else. She exudes love in everything she does. R... Continue Reading

Reduced-Guilt Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Recipe

Last Reply by bugandme2010 1422494332.013 | Started by Jennifer Coffey in Kitchen & Food Talk, Recipe Swap, Hosts & Personalities

Last year, I got a Vitamix for Christmas. You'd have thought I was 10 years old getting her favorite doll all over again! I squealed when I unwrapped it. I couldn't wait to make smoothies, soups, doughs, and more. Cut to a year later, and I'm still a Vitamix vixen! Today we've got the Vitamix as a TSV, so I thought I'd give you a peek at something I whipped up for Gabby and myself just a couple days ago! I try to "eat clean" as much as I can. This time of the year is the hardest. Treats abound everywhere! And while that's a great problem to have, it means making better choices and looking for... Continue Reading

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE! I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to sleeping in, wrapping a few last-minute gifts, staying in my PJ's all day and cooking up a storm before opening up pajama gifts with Gabby and going to late-night services. However you're planning on spending your holidays, I hope it is immersed in love and laughter. But before I start my Christmas celebrations, I've got something very exciting to do...kick off the Christmas Eve Today's Special Value from Diamonique! It's a groundbreaker for this line...a stunning interlocking openwork ring laced with sparkling jewels. In ... Continue Reading

Black-Eyed Peas for Good Luck in 2015!

Last Reply by bugandme2010 1422495692.827 | Started by Jennifer Coffey in Kitchen & Food Talk, Recipe Swap, Hosts & Personalities

Happy New Year! It feels like the holidays came and went like a flash...bittersweet for me, because I'm such a sucker for holiday traditions. So if you don't mind, I'm just going to keep them going into 2015! My family's tradition in New Orleans was always to eat Black-Eyed Peas on New Years' Day. My momma said for every pea you ate you'd have a day full of luck in the new year. So my brother and I would count out 365 of them as we ate. That memory still makes me laugh! I thought I'd share a recipe to make this holiday meal one you might like to try for the first time, or maybe to put a ne... Continue Reading

Christmas Traditions: Mommy-Daughter Style!

Last Reply by Lulu01 1419226974.63 | Started by Jennifer Coffey in Hosts & Personalities, Holiday Advice, Mom to Mom Blogs

Every family has them: traditions that you follow regardless of what holiday you commemorate this time of year. My daughter and I are no exception. Over her 14 years we have kept alive some of the traditions my parents created with me, and have started a few new ones as well! I’d love to share a few with you, and hear about yours: Every year of course the tree goes up! It’s Gabby’s job to put the star (or in this case, a thrift shop Santa that has seen better days, but we don’t care) on top of the tree. The rule is once an ornament goes on the tree it stays there every... Continue Reading

40 Before The Big 4-0

If the calendar didn't say it was so, I wouldn't believe it. But it's apparently true: I've got 40 days remaining until my 40th birthday. There are so many different ways I could react to this truth: denial, despair, anxiety, or..... Joy. It's amazing what this coming milestone is doing for me. I feel empowered, energized, excited. There's something about approaching another decade that is giving me permission to embrace the small but sweet moments, to worry a bit less, and to really think about what it is I want to do with my remaining years. There's so much I still want to experience, pla... Continue Reading

Mugs with Meaning

Started by Jennifer Coffey in Coffee Talk, Hosts & Personalities, TSV Talk 1415995991.553

We've got a great Keurig deal as our TSV today, and it got me thinking about how I've unintentionally become a coffee mug collector over the years. I'm a big coffee drinker (thank goodness or my name would be ironic and silly!), and over time I've accumulated quite a few "mugs with meaning." Do you do the same? Below are a few with the stories behind them. It makes the few calm minutes in the morning even more special when the mug carrying my Keurig brew holds memories too! I speak often on air of my "Happy Place" in Colorado, a small town called Ouray. I go there about once every year. These... Continue Reading

How We Wore It: The Legacy Skirted Leggings

Last Reply by NC1Customer 1420220491.04 | Started by Jennifer Coffey in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities, TSV Talk

Happy Monday! I'll be seeing you at noon for QCheck where I'll be presenting today's TSV, the skirted leggings from Legacy! They're an updated take on a very popular style we presented earlier this year. I love them because they're super easy to style a thousand ways...and to prove it I sent a pair all the way across the country to my best friend Kim in Seattle! She's got an amazing sense of style and it shows. I asked her to work her black skirted leggings however she wanted, and I'd do the same with my olive pair. I love how our individual flair shows even though 50% of our outfit is iden... Continue Reading

My Recipe for “What-Do-I Do-With-These-Overripe Bananas” Banana Bread!

Started by Jennifer Coffey in Kitchen & Food Talk, Recipe Swap, Hosts & Personalities 1411159698.583

It never fails, no matter how many banana smoothies are made and no matter how many bananas head out for school lunches throughout the week, I end up with at least a few that are starting to look a little too ripe for snacking! So I often turn them into a breakfast bread. Thought I'd share the recipe for you in honor of "Cooking on Q" day today! Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you on air! Also, you can find a few of my other "go-to" recipes on my toGather page! Something good is about to happen in the Kitchen Aid! Clearly someone in the house wants in on the Banana Bread action...ha!
