For 21 years, I have had the fun of shopping and pleasure to share the Shoe of the Day on QVC! I have always looked at these special shoes and boots with a special fondness over the years..but it was not until a few weeks before Christmas two years ago that I really understood breast cancer.
My younger sister Karen was diagnosed with a type of breast cancer that would have previously been a fatal diagnosis for women. My sister has four beautiful children and a husband who she was not ready to leave. She was blessed to find an amazing doctor and after radical surgery an... Continue Reading

I love to decorate for every season! Here is my, "Welcome to my Home" Fall Blog showcasing my outside decorations.
My sister Deb made me the wreath for my front door to welcome my friends and family... I love the ornamental millet which I think is a fancy name for Indian corn which I added to a cheese pumpkin and gourds from my garden...P.S. spray your pumpkins with the blue stuff to keep the hungry squirrels from munching on them..
I always have lots of help from Catdog every time I decorate.. Obviously she can't read the Danger Haunted House sign..
Our skeleton just ... Continue Reading

A few weeks ago, Sandra Bennett and I took a trip to NYC to visit the Susan Graver offices to see where the Graver magic happens.. I am truly amazed each time I visit and wanted to share with you some of the fun facts and pics. Since the Susan Graver brand began on the Q, Susan has created over 100 TSV's over the years...
Here is a row of folders containing every detail from fabric, specs and details of each garment in the line.. Sort of organized like your doctor's office.. Lol …
The Graver team purchases 250 prints a year to design into the garments each year...

I love to decorate for every season! My fireplace is my favorite focal point for every season.. I am sure you will recognize lots of QVC products from Valerie Parr Hill garland, Bethlehem lights aqua candles to battery operated lights... I added my own flare by incorporating faux leaves from the craft store and juts to give these large aqua candles a holiday look.
Each year I try to invest in decorations, so I can layer my pumpkins.. I love these new Valerie Parr Hill pumpkins. If you look at the candles I added faux leaves to them also..
I also love to decorate my dining roo... Continue Reading

My go to dip is easy crab dip!
Creamy Crab Dip
I use 1 can of crab and squeeze the juice out… add 1 softened bar of cream cheese… add some chili sauce and mix it together. Place in bowl and top with a bit of chili sauce. Refrigerate and serve with crackers. Enjoy!

It is a fall tradition with our family since I was a kid that my mom would make apple cake for us.
A few thoughts:
Macintosh apples work the best but apples picked from a trip to the orchard are the most fun!
Do not tightly wrap this cake because it is too moist so we always just placed a tea towel over it.
Add the powder sugar at the last minute.
My mom has experimented with ripe pears and walnuts instead of apples, so have fun with this recipe!
As you can see my mom's recipe card is well loved...
Pick or buy Macintosh apples or a similar apple so that they cook... Continue Reading

Fashionably Early has a new look and we want YOU to be a part of our social. Each week we hope to ask a question or solicit for engaging photos and show some of these on air. We were thrilled to have over 368 people respond on both Jayne’s and my Facebook page when we asked:
What time do you usually wake up?
… Here are a few of the fun responses.. thank you!
Sharon Alexander: Usually around 5 a.m. The cats don't know I'm retired! Glad there will be a Fashionably Late. Most of the fashion shows are at impossible times for those of us in the West.

Nikki has been blessed with so many opportunities with her dance. This is the second year that she has volunteered along with other dancers and instructors at her dance studio for an outreach program.
This outreach program is sponsored by the nonprofit group of parents and volunteers... Our dancers, instructors and parents have a chance to give back to our community for one week with a dance camp! Our guest dancers are from the local shelter and ranged in age from 9 to 11, both boys and girls. The kids had a chance to learn to dance salsa, hip hop, tap and contemporary modern...

What a week it's been! With moving and getting Nicole settled, we took some downtime to get crafty. Nikki and I wanted to share a fun and inexpensive way to decorate a college dorm room... Grab your coupon and go to the craft store for a few supplies! You'll need some basics... A glue gun, paint, different size canvases and fun sparkles...
Grey stripes are created by painting a canvas....create your stripes by using scotch tape and add special touches like flowers.
Another fun idea is using your initials. You can print out letters and tape them down to block the paint on your... Continue Reading

A long time ago someone told me that I would be able to tell time by the age of my child...that same person told me that I would never know a love so strong as the love for my child...
The birth of your baby is always a miracle and I had lots of support at the Q as the stork arrived a few times in the same year...Within a few months, MaryBeth had Ryan, Jane had Cara, Donna(retired host) had Anna and I had Nicole...First I should shout out to my boss Jack Comstock for not even flinching when I was the fourth host to tell him that I was expecting...Dan who never even noticed th...
