Over the last few weeks I have been talking about the people that have come to mean a lot to me in my years at QVC. After all, it is the people that make our lives what they are. I have talked about the people I work with in the studio, who have come to mean a great deal to me; the guests who have become good friends; the people who have made my time at QVC such an amazing 20 years. Now, I want to talk about you. I am not sure you realize what a difference you make. We have shared a lot you and I, the good and the bad. We have shared jokes, fashion, beauty, Christmas decorating, laughter and ... Continue Reading

I Will Miss Monday Nights!!

Last Reply by MOEKOV 1418697928.43 | Started by Lisa Robertson in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities

I have found that I do not work nearly as well with coworkers as I do with friends. Which is why I have especially enjoyed--and will especially miss--Monday nights. PM Style is a great show, but it is a bear! The sheer volume of 3 hours of fashion is staggering. Each item comes out of QVC's Product Central in a number of sizes, each of those sizes comes in each of the colors, and each of those options comes in multiple samples. Crazy, right? The logistics of pulling all of these items, keeping them in order, pulling them out, steaming them, arranging them, not to mention getting them on models... Continue Reading

A Word--Okay, Maybe Many Words--of Thanks!

I wanted to write about all the people that have become part of The Lisa Robertson Show "project" for lack of a better term. But I warn you now, it's going to be long! It started out with The Lisa Robertson Show, then the G.I.L.I.(TM) line, then A Lisa Robertson Christmas, everything coordinating with Facebook, then adding The Lisa Robertson 360 page. I know, it seems like a lot of me. But ironically, it's really about an amazing team. I have to begin with Jen Volansky. She is the managing producer for PM Style and all things Lisa Robertson. It's a big job! Jen and I had worked together for ... Continue Reading

A Note From Lisa

Today I wanted to talk about some of the people who have grown to mean a great deal to me over my years at QVC: the hosts and vendors who have become my extended family. Over the years, the hosts have been some of my best friends. From the warmth and loyalty of Antonella, to a hug and advice from Shawn, to out and out counseling from Albany, to learning from and sharing time with Jane, to a laugh with Rick, years of unconditional love from Mary Beth, unlimited warmth and support from Pat, laughs with Courtney, the style and grace of Amy, driving with Rachel, my dear friendship with Alber... Roasted Butternut Squash and Shallots

Last Reply by 7shadow 1417206626.247 | Started by Lisa Robertson in Kitchen & Food Talk, Recipe Swap, Hosts & Personalities

I realize that I have become dependent on garlic when I roast my vegetables, so I thought I would try something without it. I had some things already in my refrigerator and decided to look for a recipe to put them together. Here is what you are going to need: butternut squash, shallots, olive oil, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Combine: 5 Shallots quartered lengthwise 2 cups of diced Butternut Squash 1 tablespoon of brown sugar 2 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Mix it all up! I used a regular baking sheet and put it in a single layer. I pu... Continue Reading

Decorating for Christmas - How to Create a Stunning Entryway!

Last Reply by denisexoxo 1418687534.553 | Started by Lisa Robertson in For the Home Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Holiday Advice

I am finally making progress in my decorating! I started with the entryway and thought I would give you a step by step. Ironically, decorating the entryway in my home is one of my favorite things for Christmas. It starts out as a perfectly nice everyday entryway…   …but ends up being really stunning. I started by using the new Bethlehem Lights garland all the way up the stairs. Then I added the beaded fruit garland on the long stretches of the green garland and used the beaded fruit teardrops where they come up to attach to the railing. The beaded fruit garland and tea... Butternut Squash Tart

Last Reply by Barbara V 1416326158.227 | Started by Lisa Robertson in Kitchen & Food Talk, The Q We Love, Hosts & Personalities

I love roasted butternut squash, and last week I loved the Swiss Chard tart. So I thought I would try a Roasted Butternut Squash Tart! First I cut up about 1 pound of Butternut Squash into cubes. Then added 1 Red Onion, cut in large pieces. I used the leaves of about 5 branches of Rosemary. I chopped them fine and added them to the squash. I peeled the cloves of one head of garlic, and cut each clove into slices. Adding those: I added Balsamic Vinegar Then tossed it in Olive Oil and Sea Salt Put it on a cookie sheet And baked it at 400° for 30 minutes Ne... Continue Reading

Easy Rustic Chard, Potato and Feta Tart

Last Reply by blissking 1417992335.717 | Started by Lisa Robertson in Kitchen & Food Talk, Hosts & Personalities

I found this recipe for Rustic Chard, Potato, and Goat Cheese Tart in my Cooking Light magazine. I made it easier but loved the way it turned out! You will need: 1 bunch Swiss chard 1 cup vertically sliced red onion Pinch of salt 1 cup thinly sliced potato (I used red potatoes) 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme 1 pre-made pie crust 1 tsp water 1 large egg white Feta cheese Freshly ground black pepper Preheat the oven to 375°F. Remove the stems from the chard leaves. Chop up the leaves and stems separately. Set a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté 1 cup of chard... Continue Reading
