This Thanksgiving I wish you lots of good food and good company. I also hope we all take a moment to think about all we have to be thankful for. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in what you're not happy about, but it's nice that there's a day dedicated to remembering the good things and being grateful.
I am looking forward to heading to Courtney's again this year with Rachel. I adore Courtney and spending time with her and her family is so much fun. Last year Rachel and I laughed so much our faces hurt and ate so much we weren't hungry for...well, hours. Okay, it's Thanksgiving, you're su... Continue Reading

Doing any entertaining this holiday? Of course you are! Here are a few quick tips!
And, here are a couple of decorating and entertaining questions I've been asked:
How do you decorate for a holiday party if you don’t celebrate Christmas?
This really depends on how specifically “not Christmas” you want it to be. But, you can certainly decorate with things that are sparkly, and with greenery, pine cones, berries, and things that are really wintry. Those options are beautiful and not specifically Christmas. And, don’t forget candles. When in doubt, add candles. Wh... Continue Reading

It's the most wonderful time of the year (are you singing yet?) It's time to treat the person (or people) who know you better than you do: your best friend(s). What do you get...and better yet, how do you make a gift feel more personal?
Most of you have seen pictures of me with two of my best friends...Leslie and Kym. What goes through my mind when I'm shopping for them? Especially because they really do have everything?
In a lot of cases, if I don’t know what to get, I keep my eye out for a great piece of jewelry. Leslie likes really bold, really cool eclectic jewelry so I keep my eye... Continue Reading

Favorite room to decorate for Christmas?
Years ago I would have said the family room, but this last year I had an all-white flocked tree in my master bedroom and I love going to sleep with just the lights of the Christmas tree.
How many Christmas trees do you decorate?
Four! I also decorate three full rooms; one stairway; and various details on doors, mantels, headboards, etc.
Favorite holiday meal?
I grew up vegetarian, and my mother would make a specific vegetarian casserole with all the “fixins” for special meals like Christmas din... Continue Reading

I am so excited to share with you a sneak peek of this Wednesday's TSV, the G.I.L.I Leather Roma 2 Tote!
As our everyday wear becomes more casual, it’s our accessories that really make us stand out. Your largest and most versatile accessory is your handbag, and it's become more than just a vehicle for carrying a wallet or cosmetics, but an opportunity to make a statement about your identity. Like you, I don’t have the time to change my bag daily, trying to match it to my look each morning. I need a bag that looks sophisticated and high end yet goes with everything. These are som... A Lisa Robertson Christmas continues this Friday at 10pm ET! This week’s topic is Great Gifts Under $50.
Here’s this week’s video tip…enjoy! :)
And here's one more thing to consider. What do you do when someone got you a gift and you weren't expecting one? Is a return gift required? And if so, what do you give him/her?
First, think about your relationship with the giver. I think this really depends on whether you’ve helped the giver throughout the years and they’re just saying thank you, or, if they’re buying it because they think you’re fr... Continue Reading

The holidays are coming! There are places to go and lots of people to see. How can you ensure you'll look your best?
And, don't forget, your beauty routine should change in the wintertime. It's so important to add extra hydration to your skin care regimen. For example, I use the Dr. Denese Hydroshield Face Serum around my eyes, on my lips, and on my neck and chest in the summertime, but when it turns colder, I extend it to everything from my hair line to my bra line!
The skin on your whole body is going to be dryer, so make sure and take care of that as well. The Josie Maran Argan Oil Body... Continue Reading

How do professional decorators trim a tree or stage a mantel? How can you turn your home into a winter wonderland? Here are a few ideas.
I'm passionate about Christmas. And, I really do love decorating. Lots of you have seen videos of my home at the holidays from previous years. And, there are some questions I'm often asked about decorating in general. For example:
Where do you (and how do you know where to) start decorating?
I usually have a routine…I usually start in family room because it’s kind of the biggest room. Once that one’s decorated, I’m motivated ... Continue Reading
