I hope you all had a terrific Memorial Day weekend. The weather in my area was GORGEOUS…a perfect 10 kind of weekend. So my family and I spent a lot of time in the great outdoors. We even had time to go “down the shore” as we say here and hit the boardwalk on Sunday night.
For those of you who don’t know, the beach is my happy place. Since I grew up in Southern California, the shore has always been a part of my life and it still is…even though I’m now swimming in a different ocean! So I love beachy decorations, colors, and décor, w... Continue Reading

I might have a mild obsession with wreaths. They’re such an easy way to decorate your home for any season…and they can be so much fun to make. Just buy the base, pick your décor, grab the glue gun, and GO! I hadn’t intended to make a (well, another) summer wreath, but I was at the craft store recently and saw some clothespins. Then I saw the Memorial Day decorative display. Then, you can probably figure out what happened next…
That’s right. I was in the car with red, white, and blue spray paint, the wreath base, and clothespins before my... Continue Reading

I hope most of you saw my spring organization posts from this week. I asked five of my blogger friends to tidy their homes with some of my favorite organizational pieces, the Lori Grenier Tabletop Cosmetics Organizer and the nesting baskets from Honey-Can-Do. I shared each of their blogs on Facebook but wanted to share some questions they sent me about how I organize my home.
Beeb from MomStart tidied her cosmetics with Lori Grenier's tabletop organizer and sent me these questions about bathroom organization:
What are some tips for making the most of a small space when it ... Continue Reading

So yesterday was "Eat What You Want day"…and I posed this question on my Facebook page: what would you eat every day if calories didn’t count? I said warm chocolate chip cookies out of the oven and lots of you agreed. Although ice cream, pizza, cheese fries, and bacon are all right up my alley, too! (Thanks for all your comments.) And if you’re not following me on Facebook yet, here’s where you can find my page.
“Eat What You Want Day” may have been yesterday but I’ve got another sweet treat that you should probably try today, while we... Continue Reading

Have you ever tried to pack a salad in your lunch box? It’s not easy. Either you have five different containers to keep the ingredients separate so your salad doesn’t get soggy, or you have one big container…and soggy salad...that you then don’t want...so you order the grilled cheese anyway.
That’s when a friend told me about the mason jar salad. (I sound like I’m on a drug commercial or something, don’t I??) Anyway, it’s true. A friend at work brought in this beautiful salad in a mason jar and explained that not only can you put... Continue Reading

Happy Saturday! What are you up to today? Are you cheering your kids on at their soccer or baseball games? Maybe you’re tackling your garden? Maybe you're just relaxing! Well, if you’ve got about an hour of down time today, it’s a great day to do a little crafting, inside or out.
I don’t know about you, but I always save the extra buttons that come with my clothes, convinced I’ll need them later. But I can’t remember the last time I actually needed one. So I’ve got oodles of buttons—in all shapes and sizes—just sitting in my... Continue Reading

Since so many of you loved the tips I shared in January for our 31 Days of Organization project, we wanted to give this kind of thing another go. Since it's already the middle of April, we're not doing 31. Instead, we’re doing 12 straight days of tips on how to refresh and renew your home for spring. And it starts….TODAY!
First thing’s first…the garden. The weather is FINALLY getting nicer here in Eastern PA and I’m SO excited to get outside for some garden therapy. And I can’t WAIT for the butterflies to return to my garden. I love butterf... Continue Reading
