Last Reply by ashland 1425053120.423 | Started by Jill Bauer in Jewelry Talk, Hosts & Personalities

This Friday is QVC’s annual Big Bonanza Silver Sale(R), one of my favorite days to shop with you of the year! I’ve now been a part of this day for 21 years. Anyone remember when we used to wear saloon girl type costumes?  Thank goodness our fashion direction for the day has evolved! I’m not sure what I’m going to wear yet, but I’ve pulled 2 looks to match up with some of the key pieces on the day, and thought you might like a sneak peek. This year’s assortment is filled with statement pieces, pops of color, and updated essentials. I’m lovi... Continue Reading

Need a Girls Night!? Host a Red-Carpet Party!

Started by Jill Bauer in Kitchen & Food Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Mom to Mom Blogs 1424201627.16

Hi, everyone! When’s the last time you got together with your girlfriends for a “you” night? Not too long ago...but probably longer than I want to admit...I met my best friend in New York City for the weekend. We had an amazing time but I remember my favorite part was coming back to the hotel after a long day, sprawling out on the bed, ordering room service, and then watching old movies all night. That’s my idea of the ultimate girl time…and I left New York feeling rejuvenated and refreshed…and ready to come home to my family. If it’s been awhile s... Continue Reading

Easy (Yummy!) Mardi Gras Cake!

Started by Jill Bauer in Kitchen & Food Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Mom to Mom Blogs 1423603651.337

Hi, everyone! I’m ahead of the game! Last week I shared my Cupid’s Box of Cookies idea for Valentine’s Day this week and weekend. And today, I’m going to help you start thinking about Mardi Gras. I know how easy it can be to fit things into your schedule if you know about them ahead of time. After all, what good is a homemade Mardi Gras Cake recipe on February 17? Anyway, I hope you enjoy this…the idea is based on a birthday cake I made for Trevor one year. He requested a colorful cake and I found a great recipe where you needn’t bake a bunch of separate ... Hi, everyone! I was in New York City yesterday...and this was my view from the train heading there: I had to do a little product development for You’re Home with Jill and I was also looking for some new things at the gift show. And look who else I saw!? What fun it was to hang out with David Dangle QVC. David, his incredible team, and I brainstormed some exciting and fabulous ways to incorporate Joan's love of home into some special items for YHJ. I felt so honored and inspired yesterday! It’s been a few weeks since we had a You’re Home with Jill but I’m thrille... Continue Reading

Started by Jill Bauer in For the Home Talk, Hosts & Personalities 1423001006.06

Hi, everyone! Happy February! I’m not a big fan of Pennsylvania’s famous groundhog right about now. Six more weeks of winter does NOT sound fun. But, we are marching right along. And believe it or not, we’ve finished our 31 Days of Organization initiative on You’re Home with Jill. If you already saw the last four tips in my collection or Facebook…act surprised. If not, here are a few final ideas.                            &... Continue Reading

31 Days of Organization - Tackling the Bathroom & Closets

Last Reply by keekee 1423666666.253 | Started by Jill Bauer in For the Home Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Mom to Mom Blogs

Hi, everyone! Closet and vanity doors are wonderful, aren’t they? They just hide so many little messes. Well, not anymore—we tackled the linen closet, the bathroom, and the bedroom closet over the last seven days as part of our “31 Days of Organization” initiative. At home, this is my favorite way to keep our sheets organized…use a pillow case as a sleeve! Then, stack the sets in your closet. We used the Northern Nights Zara 600TC 100% Cotton Wrinkle Defense Sheet Set in the photo, in case you're wondering. At our shore home, I don’t have a linen clos... Continue Reading

31 Days of Organization – Laundry, Pets, Storage & More!

Hi, everyone!   We’re organized all kinds of stuff last week…have a look!     We love our stuff…laptops, magazines, remotes. And we need our stuff. But the stuff shouldn't be part of our décor. Here's how I keep our essentials out of sight, but not out of mind. We photographed these in the living room, but I really use my Valerie Parr Hill ottomans throughout my home…in my entryway, in my kids’ rooms, and all those social areas. You can instantly clean up any space by tucking essentials inside. Or, flip the top up and use the lids f... Continue Reading

Last Reply by angelsoul 1422893836.333 | Started by Jill Bauer in Kitchen & Food Talk, For the Home Talk, Hosts & Personalities

Hi, everyone! “31 Days of Organization” continues! I posted seven new tips in the last week on Facebook and QVC's toGather and wanted to be sure you saw them! It’s Saturday afternoon and you’ve got two hours of free time. Why not make dinner for the week? Last Wednesday I posted a Cheesy Chicken & Bacon Ziti recipe in my blog that you can bake ahead and refrigerate or freeze for later. My team also got that up on my You’re Home with Jill recipe page. I’ve got quite a few freezer-friendly recipes there…Always Good Lasagna, Chicken and Broccoli ... Continue Reading

Jill's Sunday Funday - Hosting the Ultimate Football Party

Last Reply by sew12ing 1421015794.23 | Started by Jill Bauer in Kitchen & Food Talk, For the Home Talk, Hosts & Personalities

Hi, everyone! It’s FOOTBALL season in my house. How about yours? I have no doubt my husband Doug will be watching the college championship game on Monday, and then all the BIG playoff games next week. I definitely don’t mind watching a football game now and then—especially now that they’re so exciting. But I LOVE the entertaining part of the game and imagine that lots of you too. When I was growing up, I was in the California Junior Miss Pageant, and, as one of the requirements, created a football-game-themed party. I’m SO sorry I don’t have a photo to s... Continue Reading

Freeze It for Later (in a Lock & Lock!): Cheesy Chicken & Bacon Ziti

Started by Jill Bauer in Kitchen & Food Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Mom to Mom Blogs 1420646313.573

Hi, everyone! Raise your hand if you’re getting the Lock & Lock Today’s Special Value. I know…you can’t see me, but my hand is UP! I use Lock & Lock every single day in my kitchen to “wrap” up leftovers, store extra ingredients, and lately—freeze some meals for later. (I told you I’m getting organized!!!) It’s true that there are some foods that just don’t freeze all that well. For example, some dairy ingredients—like heavy cream—can separate in the freezer. And crumb toppings like breadcrumbs or those crunchy n... Continue Reading
