Brownie cookies??? Yum! I found this recipe on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect to try out because 1 - it's chocolatey and 2- I love baking for the holidays. Make sure to cool your cookies all the way before transferring to a plate or individual baggies. Since this recipe is very brownie-like, you want the cookies to "set" a bit before removing them from the parchment paper (or aluminum foil.)
Makes 24 cookies
1 box of brownie mix
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups chocolate chips (any kind!)

Four years ago, Aaron and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving together. It was just the two of us and neither of us had ever cooked Thanksgiving Dinner. Every dish was new, exciting, and completely different from what we were used to having with our families back home. That Thanksgiving we decided that every year after we would set the table with the tried and true turkey and racks of ribs, but change up the deserts and sides for an ultimate gourmet experience.

I'll start this blog with a few stories of our dear LR:
The first time I remember seeing LR I felt really intimidated. She's extremely pretty in person and probably one of the smartest women I've ever met. So with that in mind... I thought best not to speak. You might have heard me talk about the first the time I chatted with Lisa. It wasn't my best moment... But she took my comments and laughed them off lightheartedly. Ah ha! We were off to a good start and somehow she didn't dislike me.
My first time in NYC was for fashion week and it was a dream come true. I was sche... Continue Reading

For our Honeymoon we wanted to go somewhere that we may not get the chance to go back to for a good while. We decided to spend our honeymoon in French Polynesia both on the Paul Gauguin Ship and in Tahiti. There are 115 islands in French Polynesia; some that are very small and desolate, and others that have bigger populations- but still small town, family-life oriented. Throughout most of F.P. there is no real estate. Everyone who lives on the land of the islands owns their land because it’s the land their family has grown up on. Some families have whole Mot... Hi everyone! Long time, no blog :) How are you? I wanted the opportunity to share with you some of my wedding photos since my “Say Yes to The Dress” will be airing on October 17th at 9PM EST.
A lot of you saw some of the pictures that my friend Jennifer and I posted throughout the week, but I wanted to give you a closer look at all the action.
Since so many of our friends and family were coming in from out of town, we wanted to make sure it was worth the travel to our small mountain town. We kicked off our wedding weekend on Thursday night with a cocktail party ... Continue Reading

Hi everyone! It's so good to catch up with you from the whirlwind that was our wedding weekend up to right now where I am packing for our honeymoon. I'll write a more detailed blog later, but I just wanted to say thank you all for joining us on our big day and your kind words. Everything about the weekend was just perfect.
From the cocktail party on Thursday, the bridesmaid luncheon and rehearsal dinner on Friday, to the actual day was just so spectacular. When I walked down the aisle I couldn't wait to get to Aaron. I was so anxious to start my life with him... And so far... Continue Reading

It’s 2:30 in the afternoon on Friday September 12th. I can’t help but think that this time next week I will be with my best friends and family getting a mani/pedi, talking about the Rehearsal Dinner complete with DJ, southern food, and funny stories. I’m counting down the minutes.
I can’t believe my wedding is just one week away. It’s weird to even type that out. It’s crazy to think that almost a year ago I wasn’t sure that I was going to be engaged anytime soon. Now it’s full on crunch time t... Continue Reading

The big day is quickly approaching & I'm working on getting my hair, skin & nails in tip top shape :)
Twice a week I have been using Dr. Gross' facial steamer to help get my skin in tip top shape. It opens up my pores so that I can take the bad stuff out and get some of the good in. Check out tips from Dr. Gross on how to do an at-home facial --> Dr. Gross Tips
Next I use my Clarisonic with TATCHA to help restore moisture and get rid of the dirt and oil.
I follow up with Dr. Gross Glow Pads to get radiance and a hint of color. I finish my am routine with... Continue Reading

When my producer and friend, Venita, told me we might have the opportunity to partner with Southern Living for Courtney Says I do… I needed to sit down. Where I come from Southern Living Magazine was right next to the bible. I mean seriously, there was a bible on the nightstand table and right next to that, for a little light reading was the book that guided the way to becoming the envy of all friends and family when it came to mastering the techniques of southern charm.
Wherever you are, Southern Living takes you to your happy place. In fact my mother used to get so happy reading her ... Continue Reading

When I was a little girl for some reason I had always imagined my Bridal Shower would be in my Mom’s hair salon. Which is odd if you think about a 5-10 year old girl 1) even thinking about a bridal shower and 2) why on earth would she want to have it there?! I imagined that we would all be wearing long dresses, hats, only sipping on iced tea, getting our hair done and opening presents. Sounds a little old school southern right? I promise I never watched Steel Mag... Continue Reading
