Recently Jacque Gonzales, Rick Domeier and I were lucky enough to be able to join several of our QVC colleagues to make a visit to the Chester County Food Bank, in Exton, PA, to deliver complete Thanksgiving meals for over 100 families in need, right here in our community. We did it to help feed folks who need and deserve a great meal on Thanksgiving and year round...and to help raise awareness during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. What we learned is that hunger knows no holiday…that there is a crisis of food insecurity for many families in our region and beyond... Continue Reading

During Thanksgiving, it can be so tempting to give your fur babies a taste of the big meal!
But the fat, grease, and herbs are trouble for our furry friends. Instead, here's a special treat for your canine friends that they'll ''gobble'' up! It's yummy and healthy for them, and best of all, you can make it yourself! Of course, if you know your dog has a sensitive tummy, or has any dietary restrictions, ALWAYS check with your vet to see if they can dig into this treat. Some vets recommend not giving your dogs turkey, and you could substitute chicken.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey... Continue Reading

Last week, I had the most amazing time as the QVC remote team and I headed to Los Angeles for our premiere show with Ellen DeGeneres, to launch her seasonal home collection created especially for QVC, E.D. On Air! It was non-stop fun from beginning to end and I wanted to share a few notes and behind the scenes photos with all of you who have already embraced Ellen and her wonderful new home decor items, and to thank you so much for your positive feedback and support! (By the way, I am LOVING the E.D. products I have received so far, and they look fantastic in my home! Apparently, I am not the ... Continue Reading

Dear Fellow Pet Lovers –
For my latest Fur Baby Blog, I decided to feature two of the most adorable cats on the planet, my parents' two Ragdoll cats, Sidney and Duffy!! I adore these two kitties, and every time I visit my parents, I think to myself, I need to write a blog about them, so today, here it is! AND it just so happens to be National Cat Day!!
Sidney, a female (almost two years old) and Duffy, her male counterpart (6 years old) are an inseparable pair. My folks originally had another little girl Ragdoll, named Dolly, who became ill and passed on to the Rainb... Continue Reading

Apple Pie a la Mode Smoothie
I love a good smoothie recipe! I like to make them for both breakfast and dessert, and this one falls somewhere in the middle. You can also swap out the frozen yogurt for regular yogurt, just add a few ice cubes!
This would be a fun alternative to apple pie after a a yummy fall meal, or as get-your-day going breakfast! Be sure to use your Vitamix to make this extra smooth and creamy!
Apple Pie a la Mode Smoothie
Ingredients: 2 cups frozen non-fat vanilla yogurt 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce 1/4 cup apple juice, chilled 1 cup apple, peele... Continue Reading

Happy Paw-Parazzi Monday!!
This week's Paw-Parazzi Showcase photo submissions absolutely made my Monday!! They are SO purrrfectly adorable that I can barely stand it! Thank you to all my Facebook friends who sent in photos of their fur babies getting ready for the Halloween holiday. I loved hearing about what treats your little ones get instead of chocolate, and I heard suggestions like cucumber bites, banana pieces, peanut butter bones and even baby carrots! I hope you enjoy this week's photos as much as I did!

Dear Fellow Pet Lovers –
As a Rescue Pet Mom, I know there are many kindred spirits among you who are Rescue Moms, Rescue Dads, and those who simply love and respect animals of all kinds. I SALUTE every one of you and will say again, how much I appreciate you, your attitude, and all that you do to help and support animals and pet rescue.
I have many rescued pets and every single one has added so much to my life, in many ways. All are different....all have so much to give, and ask so little in return. The month of October is National Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month. I ask that those of you ... Continue Reading
