Louis' Nov. 14th show
Hi everyone!
I decided to blog early, because this week is going to be very busy and I know you are eagerly awaiting descriptions of the new clothes!........FIRST.... two fun stories.......Dear friends of ours were recently in Rome visiting their daughter [she's going to school there]. They were sitting in Nino's, [a restaurant near the Spanish steps] when they over heard a nearby conversation two women were having. They were saying how they loved their "Linea by Louis Dell'Olio" clothes that they had brought and how chic they felt. Of course, my friend had to go over and introduce himself........ they had a lovely conversation.
Another friend of mine [who I've know since high school] just came back from Venice. She, too, was sitting at a restaurant wearing my A83573, in the khaki/ bronze color. She told me that Italian women were coming over to her, telling her how much they loved her jacket and did she buy it in Italy. They were actually feeling her arm! She also told me the waiters liked it too!!! Those Italian "fashionistas" know something special when they see it.. LOL!
Blinddogs, Jac and I are so sorry to hear about Timothy's condition. We know only too well what you are going through, as our "Charlie" passed from liver cancer. Ellie was a great help pulling us through. I hope my show can lift your spirits in some small way. Know that our prayers are with you and Timothy. A sweet Ellie story that Jac wanted me to tell you: Charlie was quite ill and laying on a heating blanket. Ellie, who adored her older brother, took all of her 30 stuffed toys over to him, one by one, and put them by his side until he was surrounded by them. He would not play with her, so she lay next to him, "spooning him", always looking back to see how he was. It was a privilege to watch this. We got our Annie for Ellie and they happily torture and love each other.
Alita101, As you can see from the pictures, Jac had long red hair [which she LOVED], and even though she wasn't a blond....she was still "Preciosa" to me.
Sheesh, The crimson silk/cashmere turtle neck will not be returning this year. As for it being reordered for next year.....I don't know?
Beano, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I will have white poly/rayon gab pants on my April, "Special Occasion" show. I hope you can wait that long. The winter/white, white, ivory always sells out.
Enjay, I'm delighted you picked up the boucle items! As you know, once all of the boucle items are sold out...I will no longer be able to use this fabric. What ever styles are still avail. will be the last. I am happy that someone like yourself, who appreciates the fabric and styles, will own and wear them!
Shaferbirmingham, I hope you were able to get youir ink jacket....it is a beauty!
..........Now for the Nov. 14th show...[13th on the west coast]:
1-A92305, a crepe jacket with satin trims. I know you are all on wait list and the picture is posted....I KNOW you will love it! Don't forget the A92306, black charmuse bow blouse to go under it. I hope if you chose the taupe...you already picked up the same blouse in fawn, as it is sold out.
2-A94734, a light weight jersey tunic top. It has a scoop neck, raglan sleeve with an elastic bottom and ruching under the bust to give it an empire effect. The colors are a deep magenta and heather gray. It is pure comfort and quiet chic. Accessorize to your hearts content....or not.
3-A94735, a matching jersey pull-on pant. It has a nice fluid leg.....not too narrow...not too wide IMO...just right. The colors again are deep magenta and heather gray. This also is a terrific separate and will go with many things. If you bought the 4-A92307, cowl tank top with the beaded shoulder....it is the same fabric and color as the heather gray...so you see these pants are great "Day" or "Night"!
5-A93339, a V-neck, 3/4 sleeve sweater. It has a scrolling 1/4" ribbon applique design and subtle scattered stones....all dyed to match the sweater. The colors are aqua or amethyst. Perfect for cruising and right into next spring. They look great with my black and deep purple velvet pants for the holidays, too.
6-A92301, the sequin trimmed jacket you have been waiting for to go with your sequin skirts. It's made in the same jersey knit as the skirt. There is a sequin band around the neck and down both fronts...so when it's worn open it looks finished! It has a 3/4 sleeve with a band of sequins. If you picked up the steel gray, [which I personally love...and think it is very special and sophisticated.....a color you won't see on everyone] the A94286 top with the georgette yoke in steel gray matches perfectly and looks great under the steel gray sequin jacket and beautiful with the sequin skirt. The jacket has a single closure at the neck and POCKETS!
7-A94328, is the matching knit pant. The colors are black and the steel gray. This is "THE" pant you have ALL been asking about. It is the same as last years pant that was avail in black only. It is a great separate pant!!!! I have already shown the steel gray with many things on previous shows....such as the A92308, steel gray suede topper and the above mentioned jersey top with the ruched georgette yoke........a must, must have pant.....and it's washable too.
8-A94751, a new jacket. First it's in the same textured weave fabric as the pearl and ribbon trimmed jacket from last month. This jacket is outlined in shirred tulle. It also has satin trimming and faceted jet buttons. If you loved the pearl one ....I'm sure you will love this one....it's just as special....but different. The colors are black with black trims and pale pink with black trims. Yes, if you have the black skirt in this fabric ....it will go with both colors. What I also love about this jacket, as I did with the pearl one, is it will go right into spring. I'm showing the pink one with my "old" lace skirt with the re-embroidered sequins.....remember that one? Another heads up....early this spring I will have another skirt in the same pink and the same fabric...to go with something else....so you will be able to get a matching skirt. You can wear these jackets with soooo many things.....according to the season and occasion....velvet for the holidays and my black georgette skirt with satin strips in the spring.
9-A84709, a new puckered top! It has a jewel neck and a short sleeve. The design of the pucker looks like a ribbon, woven in a diamond pattern. The colors are black or pale pink. They are meant to go with the above jacket, but will also go with many things you already own and new things to come.
Since the fall/winter season will soon come to a close....another heads up.....Spring 2010 is in production and will soon be shipping!!! I will have shows in Feb., March, April, May and June ....I hope you don't get sick of me....LOL
Jac, myself and the girls want to wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! With much love.......Louis

Happy Halloween!!!!! from Louis and Jac
Happy Halloween one and all!! Jac and I are going to a friend's Halloween party tonight. I'll be an Army General, and Jac is going as a gypsy queen.....what's the difference between a gypsy and a "gypsy queen" you ask? The amount of jewelry!!!!! We'll try to send pictures. There will be about 28-30 people....so it should be a lot of fun....costumes are mandatory!
My next show, as most of you know, is on Nov.14th, 1:00am. Of course, for all of my west coast gals....it will be Friday night. I will have "8" new things, but I'll blog you about that closer to the show. Now......for your questions and comments: DBL, the steel gray knit pant won't be avail. until the morning of, or the night before, the show, but, yes, it will match all of your steel gray purchases. I'm thrilled you took my advise and wait listed the new crepe jacket with the satin trim. I know you will be happy. Did you get the black silk charmuse bow blouse to go with it, A92306?. I only suggest it, because, when you wear the jacket open, it's nice to have something special underneath and they were designed to go together. Enjoy the show!

Blinddogs, First, how's the pup doing? That's a very long recuperation! I hope you have help watching him...him right? Elizabeth is still getting her chemo, every 4 to 5 weeks, but is doing great....she's happy as a clam! Now I know what that means [see previous blog]. I'm sorry the spruce green boucle skirt wasn't right for you. I was surprised, because, usually you have no problem with the fit, and honestly, we've gotten very few returns on this item. Oh well....I will make you spruce green bottoms for next fall. I was glad you were happy with the satin coat.....I think it is a sleeper! I hope other women realize what a terrific and useful piece it really is. I can't wait for you to get the crepe satin jacket.....I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works for you.....throw the satin coat over it and Wow! By the way, the satin on the jacket and the satin of the coat are the same fabric....so they match perfectly........You assume correctly, the new gray knit pant is the same as the one from last season that was sold in black only. I think because I sold last years blk knit pant with the matching sequin trimmed tunic...many women didn't realize that it was a good separate pant, and not just an evening pant. Never feel you go on and on....I enjoy reading all of your comments. Jac always says....I go on and on! franbeth, KATM412 and wishd4it, thank you for all of your compliments....I greatly appreciate them, and I'm happy when you're pleased with the clothes.
STLGAL, In general there is a 1 1/4"- 1 1/2" hem in my pants. If you need the full length, let me suggest this.....take them to a good tailor or seamstress and see if they can put a false hem in them. What they do is let down the entire pant and add a separate piece of fabric....usually a lining fabric....and then re-hem them using the added on fabric to turn them back. Of course, you might have to provide the fabric, but if you have any fabric stores in your city....it shouldn't be a problem......NYC has tons of them in the garment district. Rietzel......ENJOY ALL OF YOUR NEW CLOTHES!!!Wear them in good health!!!

DebbieDD, As I have commented before, it is totally up to the buyers whether a pant is ordered in tall lengths or petites........I suggest....go to the "suggestion box" at the bottom of the forum column and say you want "Linea Tall Pants".

Joycekw, I understand totally about getting excited over a turtle neck sweater. I own at least 20 of the same one in 4 colors [no exaggeration]. As for the knit skirt and t-neck....they won't be back until next fall. However, I will suggest to the buyer that they run these important basics twice in one season instead of once. This will give you the opportunity of getting them a second time around if you missed the first or if you want to pick up a new color. So...yes, I get excited about turtle necks too!

Sheese....I'm sooo happy you loved the ribbon and pearl jacket. I have to say when I saw the first sample...I, too..... was impressed! You were very lucky to get the matching magenta sweater, as there are very few left. As for the pin tucked top, A93334, BRAVO to you for picking that up. I really don't think a lot of women realize what a gem this top is. Maybe many women don't trust the fact that this IS a very flattering top. The picture on the site does it NO justice!!.......and you got the black D-B jacket with the gold buttons...WOW...that jacket was soooo waitlisted. It is definitely one of my all time favorite pieces. The quality is superb. One of our dear French friends uses that word all the time and it also has become one of our favorites...but he says it with an accent........SUPERB!

Soldout......I will keep my fingers crossed that you get the pearl/ribbon trimmed jacket. Since you already have the skirt...let me give you a heads up......on my Nov. show there will be another jacket, A94751, in the same fabric, [one of my new favorite fabrics]. It will come in black with black trims or pale pink with black trims. It's a jacket you can also wear right into the spring....it's very special....and you do own the skirt already LOL.

As for nautical....I'm doing some ivory and navy that can be interpreted as nautical....but nothing with nautical decorations.

Bfuria, I hope you are enjoying all of your new things. I'm especially pleased you like the black jacket with the red trim and gold buttons. Some women have MISTAKEN the fabric for fleece. I can assure you it is NOT fleece. It is a finely woven melton, which is a far cry from fleece.....so I am doubly happy you like the fabric...as I do! Again, wear them in the best of health!!! On an interesting note....since the color purple is so important this year....and next spring.....Jac looked it up on the computer. Very interesting reading. The dyes were originated in the ancient city of Phoenicia [ which means purple], before the Roman civilization and were so expensive that is was only used for royalty. Give it a read....I think you'll enjoy it!

Well everyone, I hope I've answered all of your questions....so until the next blog.....HAPPY HALLOWEEN............................
love, Louis, Jac, Ellie and the adorable Annie

Louis' update and answers to your questions
Hi Everyone.....I am so happy you loved my October shows! It was certainly a whirlwind! Jac and I have had a little time to rest and we are enjoying the Fall weather. When I can get the fireplace going...I'm happy! Many of you have commented on the fact that coordinating pieces aren't always on the same shows. We absolutely try to get them on the same show, but there's an old saying...."Men make plans....and God laughs!". That is so true! I know it is very frustrating....it's frustrating for me, too. When I "tease" you by showing the pieces that coordinate, but aren't on the show, believe me....I am not doing this to "tease" you and get you to buy! I just want to give you the opportunity to see the garments that, for one reason or another, had to be held for the next month.....and there are many reasons for that....too boring to get into. So, lets get to your comments:
Blinddogs, I PROMISE you.... you will have a spruce green skirt [probably the knit pencil] and, hopefully, a pant, too. You have to be patient as I won't be able to have it for you until 2010. Spring of 2010 is finished and already into production. I am now working on Fall 2010! You WILL HAVE THEM!!!Promise!
Blinddogs, Happycamper, and DBL....you have all expressed interest in the A92305, crepe jacket with the satin trims, to go with the crepe pant you have already received. I will tell you, this jacket is gorgeous!!!! The workmanship is pure percision! Yes DBL, you must have it. It doesn't look like the boucle jacket at all. The picture is already posted on my site in black. Believe me when I say....I am not pushing....but you will kick yourself if you don't get it.....trust me.....enough said.
GJC57, I apologize if I hurt your feelings....that certainly wasn't my intent. Of course you can wear "couture"! However, certain jackets just aren't for everyone...and that's Okay. The satin jacket in question is the perfect example. A drop shouldered jacket with a boxy shape and a bell sleeve...is a challenge for many women. For some, it will be perfect, and likewise for some...it will be less than. This particular jacket is not an easy one to carry, and I knew when I designed it....it would not be for everyone. If this one didn't work for you...another one will.....yes you CAN wear "couture".
A general statement....The word "Couture" is used very loosely today.True couture garments are actually entirely hand made.....down to the button holes..... A sewing machine is NEVER used. They are custom fitted to the client and therefore cost THOUSANDS of dollars. Today we use the word to mean "high end" designer apparel. There are only a hand full of designers who are doing true couture in the world today.....It is a dying art.
Dinyj...I, too, will miss using my "signature" boucle fabric. I have recently learned that it was not only the increase in the fabric cost that is preventing me from using this fabric, but the fabric mill doesn't want to produce it anymore. It seems that when they wove the fabric there was a lot of damage due to the type of yarn, and much of it had to be thrown away. To make up for this loss....they wanted a huge increase in price. Don't worry there is always a new "signature" fabric around the corner.
St. Louis Gal, I will check with my manufacturer on how big a hem they can put in the pants. I know there are reasons it can't be too wide. One is the drape of the pant. If it's too wide....it becomes stiff at the bottom and the pant doesn't drape well. Another reason is the shape of the pant....if it's a tapered leg or a boot cut leg....there are technical problems of shaping the hem to fit....but I will ask.
The Owl, I'm appreciative you like the way I accessorize the outfits. As for the gloves......I find them everywhere...on sale.... at the end of the season....try the Burlington Coat Factory....same for the berets.....I have collected them over the years and it's the only hat Jac wears....except for her snow hats....you know... with the ears....she looks really cute in them..LOL
Enjay, thank you for the lovey compliments you have payed to Jac....I will certainly pass them along. As far as the long suede skirt and the suede jacket with the crochet....I certainly do remember them! They were beautiful and timeless! I'm so pleased you are still wearing them and they have held up. It just proves that if you take care of your clothes they will last a life time. Enjoy for many years to come.
Queenie of QVC....REJOICE! The capri legging is coming back on my April 2010 show. It will have a new A#, but it is the EXACT same legging. It was actually supposed to be reordered last season....but there was a change in buyers and somehow it fell through the cracks. I made sure it was ordered again and I must say...there were no objections. I am working on some new ones for next Fall.
1mamabear....The ruffles on the blouse in question are sewn into the seams and would take an excellent seamstress to remove. Unfortunately, I don't think this top is for you, but there are many new things coming.
Sheesh.....OMG...you bought Great things...what a terrific selection...I hope when you receive everything, you're as "happy as a clam"........what does that saying mean?
Rover......This is a very delicate subject for me, as I am very loyal to Maria, and Jac and I both love her dearly. You are correct in your observations. I can only say that the plus size clothes for production are fit on a PLUS size model, They are not fit on a missy model and graded up. Maria does fluctuate and sometimes her size may go up. That happens to so many women. If you order the size that you normally order on QVC, my clothing size will most definitely work for you.
KatM412, the knit pant you are speaking of, as of now, is not a reorder.......but here's a heads up.....the A94328, on my Nov. show is the same pull-on knit pant...in the same fabric. Why it isn't the same A# is too complicated to go into, but it's the same. The colors are black and steel gray. I actually showed the steel gray pant on my last show with the A92308, the steel gray suede topper. The pant also matches the A94286, jersey top with the ruched georgette yoke, and matches the A92310, the sequin trimmed jacket that goes with the sequin skirt. By the way, for all of you who bought the gray sequin skirt, this jersey top, A94286, looks great with the sequin jacket and skirt.
Also, I highly recommend wearing the A93334, black pin tucked jersey top with the sequin skirt. It's a great alternative. Of course, there is always the A84713, sequin short sleeve sweater, for a more dramatic effect.
My November show will be on Saturday, the 14th, at 1:00am to 3:00am.....sorry to all my east coast friends.....I don't make the calender.....There will be 8 new things. I hope you can watch.
I will certainly blog before then.
Lots of Love, Louis, Jac, Ellie and Annie

Louis is back on October 8th, 1:00pm and 7:00pm
Hi Everyone.....I can't believe I just finished one show and on Oct. 8th I have two more! Sept. and October are my two biggest months, with a large amount of new clothing....so get ready....it's beautiful!!! However, before we get into the clothes....let's talk....YES, YES, YES...I would love to do jewelry for QVC. Thank you Soldout, Sheesh,Hyper, Happycamper, DBL and all of you who appreciate the way in which I accessories the models. I take a lot of care and thought accessorizing each outfit and I appreciate the fact that you would like to look that way too. I used to design the jewelry for Anne Klein, that I showed on the runway. It was not only beautiful, but it was very successful and sold in all the major stores. All I can suggest is.....on the Forum page, at the very bottom, is a suggestion box....write in....also on the threads....it can't hurt and they ARE read. I have always believed in dressing a woman from head to toe. Accessories can make...or break an outfit. Thank you all very much for wanting me to do accessories for you....it would be my pleasure.
To all of my TALLS and petites.......I have suggested and suggested doing more talls and petites....to no avail. The one and only time I did offer a pant in tall and petite, it sold out...pronto....Again, all I can suggest is, vigorously request, on the threads and in the suggestion box, that you want Linea tall and petite pants......over and over.
Happycamper....I know...I haven't had a TSV in quite some time....all I can say is "Suggestion Box". As far as the crepe is concerned, the Ink, Burgundy, Taupe and Black, I just presented is a brand new fabric and I have never used it before. The Java brown and Steel Grey crepe from my earlier show, were a different quality of crepe [also a new fabric]. I hope this answers your question.
Hotflash....unfortunately it is true...the fabric I have called my "Signature Boucle" is no longer in my price range and I, sadly, have to give it up. So every style that comes in this fabric will no longer be reordered and no new styles will be developed. That includes the topper with the rose and wisteria emb. They have all become collectors items.
JMarie......You are something else.....watching the show from Japan! That's what I call a LOYAL customer...LOL. As far as putting colors with your Spruce Green boucle suit...absolutely! I would love shades of purple [more so than the blue]. So here is my suggestion: on the Oct.8th show [don't know which one], I will be showing a V-necked bow blouse in silk charmuse, A92306, in an orchid color that would look incredible with the S.Green. You could also do a jewel neck sweater in different colors, as long as your accessories pull it all together. You should also check out my A92295 Spruce Green sweater that matches the boucle perfectly. It was on the morning show and not on the same show as the suit, so you may have missed it...but it matches perfectly.......I think those two items would be perfect for you. By the way, you can wear the sweater, either with the jewel neck to the front or the V-neck to the front.
Classicms, It is not the same boucle, but they certainly will work together. If my memory is correct, I believe you already own the A89799, black georgette skirt with the satin trims. It also works perfectly with the black boucle jacket. If you don't have it, check it out on my site. It has been reordered for next Spring. Also, for those of you who picked up the crepe jacket with the black satin bows, this skirt works perfectly with this jacket also. It gives a nice, soft alternative.
Enjay,Enjay,Enjay, I am terribly sorry you received a garment of mine that was less than perfect. Believe me when I say...this does not make me happy. I do not go on air, all hours of the day and night, ever thinking that my customers aren't going to receive anything that is less than perfect. Be assured that I made this known to the powers that be. This situation is one for the suggestion box and threads. "They" should always make sure any merchandise is shipped out in PERFECT CONDITION. Have I used that word enough! ....Jac and I are QVC customers too, and we expect our purchases to be perfect also. That said, I am soooo glad you got the black trench cropped jacket....isn't it all I said and more? It is true, the fabric cost has increased, and I can no longer use it. That jacket will never be produced at that price in that fabric again....so you are one of the lucky few.
On to the clothes......there are 13...maybe 17 new items.....if they get delivered on time.....all are beautiful...even if I say so myself. Many are listed in the site already [no pictures]. So here we go:
A92305, crepe jacket, stand collar, tonal satin trims on the collar, jacket front, hem of jacket and sleeve, band pockets and covered buttons. There are also satin inserts along the armholes. Colors, Black and Taupe. incredibly made.....chic, chic, chic!
A92298, crepe pant, shown on last show....Blinddogs, I think you bought it already! Colors Taupe, Black, Ink and Burgundy.
A92306, Silk charmuse blouse, v-neck, 3/4 sleeve. The neckline is trimmed with a fabric band that ends with a self tie bow. Colors: Fawn, perfect with the taupe suit or any suit. Would look beautiful under the new boucle suit from the last show. Actually, it was this blouse in BLACK that I showed under the suit in black. Also in Orchid....just beautiful and feminine. As I said to JMarie wear it under the Spruce green boucle suit with pale amethyst earrings and bracelet....lovely.
A92303, A matte satin coat, Taupe and Black.... button front spread collar, tabs on sleeves, slight swing shape. It's polyester [doesn't look it] so it's not only beautiful, but practical too. It has a quilted zip out lining!!!! Great for day or night. Gorgeous over the suit above as well as my new sequin skirt,A92311......Heads up, on my Nov. show I will have a jacket to match the sequin skirt. Sorry, it's not on this show , it just missed the delivery, something to look forward to.
A92308, A suede topper with tonal leather trim and burnished snap front closure.....it can certainly double as a coat....colors: Brown and Steel Grey.
A93334, one of my favorites! a rayon/span jersey top. V-neck, long sleeve, and across the body it has horizontal tucks, creating drapes that accentuate the positive and camouflage the negative.....did I mention how sexy it is? Colors: Black, Magenta. Great under suits too!!!!!
A92307, A bias jersey sleeveless top, cowl front and beaded shoulders....colors: Heather Grey, Purple and Black.
A92312, A velvet/crinkle georgette top. The body is velvet with a yoke and long sleeves in the georgette. The sleeve hem, armhole and ballet neckline are trimmed with small ruffles...very flirtatious! The A92313 is the matching pencil skirt in the velvet [ a must have basic that will go with E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!!!!] The colors for both pieces are Grape or Black. By the way, this is the skirt I showed under the new Zebra jacquard jacket that many of you bought.
A94748, A v-neck, 3/4 sleeve sweater with sequin bands at the hem of the sleeve and trimming the v-neck line....colors: Turquoise and Black [looks marvelous with the sequin skirt]. This is a sweater you can wear all year...with a white skirt or pants/capris in the summer.
A93340, a suede jacket with contrast, subtle metallic leather trim. A scoop neckline, 3/4 sleeve band pockets and bands of leather outlining the jacket. Colors are listed on my site [I don't remember the exact names....but they are exceptional and the colors are very different and unusual.
A92291, A BEAUTIFUL kimono style cardigan. You all know the embroidery on my signature boucle topper....the roses and wisteria. That is what I embroidered on this sweater...but the color combinations are totally different. The body colors are Dk. Grey, Brown and Aubergine.....yes the Aubergine turtleneck you just bought will match......this is a collectors item and a head turner.....what a Christmas gift!
Well, dear friends, there are more clothes, if they get delivered in time, if not, there is always my Nov. show right around the corner...OMG!!!!!
Until The 8th, take care, and God bless....all our LOVE, Louis, Jac, Ellie and Annie

Louis' September Shows are here!
Hi everyone,,,,it's been quite a while between shows, but I think they will be worth waiting for! First, here are the dates and times:
1-Sept.28th, Monday; 6:00am to 9:00am. This is a "Designing Men" show, and I am second in the line-up, with over 10 styles.
2-Sept.30th, Weds. 2:00am-4:00am. Fabulous things...many on easy pay.
3-Sept.30th, Weds. 5:00pm-6:00pm. Almost every style is new!
4-Sept.30th, Weds. 6:00pm-9:00pm. This is the "Designing Men" finale....everything is new!
There are too many new things to list [over 15] so I'll try to give you a brief summary...[many are already on my site]:
It's the year of the cardigan, and I've got a classic beauty. A91500, Black, Turquoise, and Hot pink. Worn with black, grey, camel or a pair of jeans....great....A91499 is the matching crew neck...wonderful with the cardigan or on it's own.
A92292, a boucle jacket. The entire jacket is outlined in 1/4" satin bands, pocket flaps, body seams, collar and turn back cuff...front and back....this....is truly.....couture....this is a MUST have. A92297 is the coordinating slim skirt. It's gored [all trimmed in satin] and at the bottom each gore opens to reveal a godet of georgette...stunning. The colors are Black and Spruce Green, [a very blue green].
A92293, a NEW CREPE suit jacket. Again, it's trimmed in satin. The top of the two patch pockets have a satin bow the width of the pocket, and the buttons are covered in the satin. The colors are Ink with Black satin and Burgundy with black satin....very French chic! The A92298 is the matching pant [also a wonderful separate].
A92294, A surplus wrap and draped front body suit in Rayon/Spandex. It works under the two suits mentioned above, or a million things you already own. The colors are Burgundy, Ink and Spruce Green.
A92295 is beautiful sweater. Dolman, elbow length sleeve, and it has a jewel neck line and a V-neckline....yes you can wear it either way.....looks great belted too. Colors: Ink, Spruce Green and Raspberry.
A92301 is a gorgeous suede jacket. Green multi]. It has a zip front and a high V-neck.
A91497, Is my A-line, DB. trench jacket. It has two button down trench flaps in the front and one in the back, which also has an inverted pleat. It is has gold half ball buttons and it's in BLACK only!! Ladies....it's Very limited.......it's SUPERB!!!!!
A92299 is my new ponte knit tunic. Heather Grey and Caramel are the colors....it's pure "Audrey".
A92296, I call my "military jacket". Band collar, 4 pocket flaps and beautiful gold filigree buttons. The collar, front, pocket flaps and button holes are piped in contrast colors....Black/red, Royal Blue/Navy. Looks great dressed up or casual with jeans .
Lastly.....A92309, is my new Zebra jacquard solid jacket......The fabric is unbelievable!!! One stripe is satin the other is a matte texture. It has a band collar and turn back cuff. It also comes with a self belt. The surprise is.....it is totally faced [including the belt] in a contrast color. The colors are Black/Hot Pink, Violet/Black, Teal/Chartruse.....they all look RICH, RICH, RICH.
There are many more wonderful things....but I have to leave some surprises. I promise to answer all your questions on my next blog.
Lots of LOVE, Louis, Jac, Ellie and Annie

An Update from Carson
Oh what a lovely summer I have had! I feel like this blog is my “What I Did This Summer” writing assignment that we all used to have to do back in our school days. It was a rainy summer in New York City. That made beach days a little challenging but it also made for cool comfy weather and a lush garden on my teeny weeny terrace in New York. It was also good weather for the horses and horse shows. I had a lot of time in the saddle this summer, culminating with the dream of a lifetime win at the World Championships this August in Louisville, KY.

I am writing from glamorous Las Vegas while shooting a new show for ABC that will air in prime time this January. I’m not sure if you have been to Las Vegas lately, but there are so many fun things to do besides gambling. I love a little turn with lady luck, but honestly I prefer buying shoes! I give them the money and they give me the shoes. No risk. I have been enjoying the shows and the restaurants though! Cher, Barry Manilow, David Spade… all fantastic. And everywhere you turn there is a phenomenal restaurant to try.

But the whole time I have been busily working on the Perfect collection for Fall. The design team and I have really upped the ante (That’s Vegas lingo!) and I think we are bringing our friends at QVC the best clothing we ever have!!! First of all, we have a great live make over show planned for September 30th at 4pm. We have two lucky gals that have been selected to come to QVC world headquarters in West Chester for a day of fun and fabulous makeovers. I love meeting these ladies because they are always so excited to be there and very, very deserving of a day of pampering and fun!

So while not shooting my new show in Vegas, I have been working feverishly to put all the finishing details on the fall collection I have planned for September 30th. If I were to describe the collection I would say it is ladylike, tailored, colorful and most importantly FUN!!!

The design team and I whipped up an amazing reversible denim jacket with equestrian-inspired embroidery AND a super fun paisley lining that, when reversed, turns into a dressy silk jacket!

The entire collection is brimming with amazingly lush and rich jewel tones. Think purple, fuchsia and teal.

Can we talk about cardigans? They have always been a favorite of mine, and now that they are on trend I am so excited. BUT I have never liked the boring types worn by Middle School librarians in the 1970’s ! So we have updated our cardigans to make them fun and fresh!!!

If you liked the rosette cardigan from the Spring Collection – you will love the updated one we are doing for Fall. It comes in lots of luscious colors and has gorgeous sparkling buttons. Another one is a gorgeous floral print in three colors that is so lovely and feminine. But my favorite is what I like to call a hybrid. It’s made like a traditional cardigan but the front looks like a beautiful silk equestrian scarf has been inset. It is so gorgeous and very expensive LOOKING! BUT, in fact, it is very affordable like the entire rest of the collection.

And while I am talking about affordability I want to take a moment to get something off my chest. When did it become a luxury to look good??? I have always believed that great looking clothes that make a women look and feel great should not have to cost a fortune. I love to shop and I am never more thrilled than when I see a piece that excites me AND it is affordable. What good are great looking clothes if no one can afford them? So with that in mind, now more than ever I made sure that everything in this collection is a great value. That means it’s made well, fits great and looks fantastic both on your body and on your credit card bill! Okay, stepping off my soapbox now.

Oh one more exciting tid bit for you. This fall I am introducing my new Perfect Denim Alternative. Or PDA as I like to call it…. Just like the other PDA…. Public Display of Affection. Which would also be a great name for a band if I had one!!!! So you are probably thinking, what is a denim alternative? Well, to me, its like what Equal is to sugar. It has all the great qualities of denim that we all love but it has been improved through the marvels of modern technology! The skirt we have done in this fabric looks like denim, but it is lighter weight, has a silkier hand and drapes so much better than traditional denim. And I also think it is more comfortable, cooler and dressier! That means you can wear it more places and get more mileage out of it….that means more style per gallon!

That’s all for now. Gotta get back on set and make a TV show! But don’t miss Live Makeover Show coming up on QVC September 30th at 4pm. Its part of the the Designing Men event and there are sure to be lots of yummy clothes you will want to try. And if you like a makeover, you are in for a treat!

Designer Charms for Charity
Far too many of our beloved family and friends are affected by cancer. But the good news is . . . we can fight and beat this terrible disease, if we all help out!

QVC and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have joined forces to raise money for breast cancer research. They are cooperating on a series of special broadcasts, which will be aired in September. The broadcasts are called the CFDA Targets Breast Cancer -- Charms for Charity Event.

For my part, I have created a heart-shaped charm, with a pink, diamond-like sparkle in the center, for my ladies to wear to help increase awareness. Proceeds from the sale of the Victor Costa charms will go to fight breast cancer. I will be presenting my charm during the QCheck show on September 10th.

Designing for women has been my life's work. I owe everything to my ladies. Creating a charm for the CFDA Fashion Targets Breast Cancer -- Charms for Charity Event is an honor. I hope this charm will find its way into your hearts, and that we can move swiftly to a cure.

XOXO Victor Costa

A quick up date from Louis
Hi everyone......sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, but it's been VERY busy!!! First, I have read all of your messages, and I was very dismayed to hear what you had to say. I have heard that the measurements were coming back! Exactly when I don't know. It does take a lot of planning to measure each piece [ there are hundreds of garments]. I hope it is ready for my next shows on Sept.28th 6:00am-9:00am [a group show], Sept. 30th 2:00am-4:00am [my own show], 5:00pm-6:00pm [my own show] and 6:00pm-7:00pm [another group show]. There will be approx.18 NEW things spread out on these shows!!! I have to say the clothes are amazing and I hope you think so too. Elaine, my manufacturer, has totally out done herself and I couldn't be more proud. These clothes could certainly hang in any 5th Ave. or Madison Ave. store and cost 10 times what they do. The fabrics and workmanship are simply superb!! I will get back to you later with the details.
MOSTWANTED.......just to let you know, Jac and I just came back from Cap Juluca, and it was fantastic. They put the building of additional rooms on hold indefinitely. I don't think that's going to happen! They have made many improvements...and all for the good. We missed hurricane Bill, thank goodness, and the weather was perfect. To my surprise they were quite booked.....many Europeans on vacation....lots of Italians and English....which made it very interesting. Jac was decked out in "Linea" and looked great.....she got stared at every night....I was very proud! We flew Jet Blue because it was the only direct flight. It was our first time on this airline and it was very pleasant. American stopped in Miami or Puerto Rico, which is a nightmare. We used Cap Juluca's shuttle service. They pick you up at the airport in St. Martin, take you to the launch, and have a taxi to the hotel waiting on the other side. If you don't use this service, I highly recommend it. It's much better than the public ferry or the tiny plane. They also provide a private boat, but that gets very pricey. There are also some new restaurants. Try the "Straw Hat", not new, but in a new location very near the hotel. I recommend making reservations for a rented car and restaurants in advance, as I was told they are totally booked for Christmas.
It is definitely feeling like Fall here in New England.....until the next time.....love to all, Louis, Jac, Ellie and Annie

Fall is almost here!
Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your summer, we are!

First I want to give a big ‘thank you’ to Classicms for her birthday wishes. You were right the 23rd of July is my birthday. I guess you will never forget it since your mother and I share the same date…it’s a good date! Jac took me to dinner. We went to the ‘Bedford Post Inn’, in Bedford, NY. Richard Gere (a well known actor) and his wife own it. It was superb in everyway. Go online and check it out.

Prin Prin, I doubt if we will ever do a body suit in a size ‘tall’. However I will be having, in my September shows, a beautiful body suit in rayon/spandex. The rayon/spandex fabric is very stretchy...much more so than cotton/lycra…so I don’t think the length will be a problem…even for someone 6’ tall.

Now for some Fall news:

Colors: you will be hearing a lot about gray and purple. They are going to be extremely important. I will be offering gray…from dark charcoal to pale silver…in solid and heather fabrics…for all types of knits, silk shirting, to marvelous suiting. Purples of all types will be offered also…from deep grape, vivid violet, dusty amethyst to delicate lilac shades. Check out this months Vogue. Look for the section on purple velvet and silk charmuse…I will have it for you too! Of course there will be many other colors to choose from…and for me they are all important and all beautiful. The silhouettes will vary, but the matching and unmatched suits are making a huge comeback.

Here are the clothes for the July 31st Designer Gallery I will be presenting four gorgeous pieces:

A91271, is a scoop neck, ¾ sleeve sweater in my favorite rayon/nylon blend. The scoop neck is trimmed with 2 ribbons of different colors that are twisted and have pearls sewn in between each twist. The colors will be slate blue with slate blue and taupe ribbons…taupe pearls, pink with pink and charcoal ribbon….dark gray pearls, and black with black and ivory ribbon….ivory pearls….all exquisite.

A91274, a brand new boucle....for a new season. This jacket is very simple but VERY chic. It is a shaped jacket (not too), an open jewel neckline that becomes a V in the front and it closes with my signature gold trim buttons with pearl centers. The colors are a lovely deep but bright rose pink and the always important black. Pearls are making a strong appearance in jewelry and embroideries.

A91273 a ponte knit tunic. This is a new quality of ponte knit and I think it’s incredible. It looks and feels so expensive. It has a ballet neckline, ¾ sleeve and of course pockets. The colors are taupe (another very important color of the season) and Amethyst (and the purples begin). It looks great on its own or layered with a turtleneck for when the weather starts to get really cold. I love it belted or not, with jeans, dress pants or a short knit skirt. It has a very Audrey Hepburn look in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

A91272, a drop dead suede jacket. Honestly I was shocked my manufacturers could make it…it’s so complicated. It’s a blazer type jacket with 5 carved signature gold buttons with opaque square stones in the center. That’s where this jacket and a typical blazer part ways. The sleeves are bordered with 3 tiers of suede all trimmed with gold zipper teeth. It doesn’t stop there. In the back there is a panel from the waist down, approximately 5” to 6” wide with 5 tiers of suede all trimmed with zipper teeth. It will be available in scarlet red or black. This IS a ‘Designer’ item and it will leave your friends green with envy.

The August 2nd show:

A91498 is my second suede jacket. (I will be doing one per show, all very different). This jacket has a zip front with lots of tonal leather trims. It has zipper pockets and sleeve details all bordered in leather and leather shoulder and sleeve cap guards. The colors are slate blue and my new JAVA brown. If you own my chestnut boucle skirt…it matches perfectly. Again…great with jeans or dressed up. Try the slate blue with my ivory tank and my navy knit skirt, some gray pearls…heels and you’re ready for anything.

A92266, a textured weave check blazer. It has a notched collar, 2 large dyed faux horn buttons, a slight cut away bottom and 2 flap pockets. The fabric is very ‘Armani’ looking…the colors are java brown/blush pink, and black/oyster (a grayed white). Again the chestnut boucle skirt works!

A91495, is a simple but very detailed suit jacket. It has a high notched collar, 4 pockets with tab and buttons and sleeves are also decorated with tabs and buttons. This looks like the type of jacket I used to find in Paris…in some out of the way boutique….designed by some unknown designer. It’s made in a new fabric that will soon be added to my ‘signature’ list. The surface is almost smooth with a hint of texture. It has great body and tailors incredibly. Again it looks like a ‘Milanese’ fabric. The colors are my java brown and my very important STEEL GRAY. A91496 is the companion trouser. It has a front zipper and slant pockets like a man’s trousers. Both of these colors are extremely important and will be shown a lot going forward on future shows.

A92265, is a silk floral jacquard, ¾ sleeve shirt/blouse. I designed it to go under the two jackets above. The colors are blush pink, oyster and silver gray.

A3825, a crew neck sweater and A09481 my knit pencil skirt have both been reordered. The silver gray crewneck and the steel gray knit skirt both look great with the steel gray jacket as an alternative.

A91500 is an elongated ribbed v-neck cardigan and the A91499 is the matching ribbed short sleeve jewel neck sweater. Matching cardigans and crews are making a quietly strong comeback. Naturally they also look great separately. The colors are a rich turquoise, a marvelous hot pink, and the always important black. This sweater set, trousers and pearls…very chic.

A92267, is another fabulous light weight jersey sweater. It has a v-neck and ¾ sleeves. What makes this a standout is the beautiful, delicate beading around the neckline. The design of the embroidery is ‘Art Deco’. The colors are java brown, with tiny copper square cut beads, ameythyst with amethyst iridescent beads and a glorious heather gray with steed beads…all three are stunning.

A91501, a ponte knit tunic. Again this is my brand new ‘Ponte Knit’. It has a jewel neckline with a 5” to 6” zipper opening. It also have a deep v seam on the front with zipper teeth trim…band pockets pocket of course. The colors are teal and a med. Purple (not a very original name…but pretty nonetheless).

A91497…I’ve saved this for last…it’s a marvelous outer wear jacket. It has a slight swing shape and is a cross between a pea and a trench jacket. It is double breasted, has a raglan sleeve with tab buttons and has button down trench flaps on the front and one in the back. It has vertical pockets and the buttons are large, gold satin, finished and dome shaped. The fabric is a superb lend of wool and rayon in a melton weave. I want to let my ‘Linea Ladies’ know that this jacket is VERY limited. If you want it or might want it order it early. It’s black only! It looks terrific with white jeans for a more casual, yet dramatic look. Dress it up with my black and white houndstooth check skirt….don’t think twice about this one….it’s golden!

Well there is more but I have to leave some surprises…Okay, one more for the road….A83571, my brushed cotton leopard print trench jacket has been reordered…the new color is denim blue…and naturally it looks greeeaaaat with jeans.

Enough Fall, for now let’s get back to Summer. Have a Happy and Healthy one.

Lots of Love, Jac, Ellie, Annie & Me

To handbagnut01, from Louis
Dear Handbagnut01, sorry for getting back to you so late, but you posted your question on one of my earlier blogs, and I just noticed it. To answer your question about appropriate skirt lengths for someone of your height...5'..... first it would help to know your size....that said...if you are a plus size...an ankle length would not be the right proportion for you. If you are a missy size, you still have to be careful of long lengths. A slim skirt would give you a taller leaner look, and in the fall/winter always wear a higher heel boot. In the spring/summer.....the skirt should be gauzy and/or drape to the body. This will not overpower you....especially if you want to wear a sandal. In general I would suggest skirts to or just below the knee... to just below the calf. Again, for the shorter skirt, in the fall/winter, wear a darker hose to give a taller look, and again, for a longer skirt wear a boot with a heel. I would suggest you looking at my A72841 skirt for fall. It is 33 1/2" long and has a fit and flare shape. I don't think you should wear anything longer than this. If it is still too long, because it is a knit with a pull-on elastic waist, you can easily roll it once or twice. One of my pet peeves [no matter what size or height of the woman], is wearing long skirts with high heel pumps.....unless it is an evening skirt. For me, the balance is totally wrong. When wearing a fall/winter long skirt, I feel a boot, high or low, balances the weight of the skirt. Of course, not knowing what you look like, my answer is general. I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction.....Sincerely.........Louis

Dear DSKTJM
DSKTJM.....I did two Ikat prints, but I'm assuming you mean the two color purple and ivory version. I have checked my samples and YES.....the short sleeved violet sweater matches perfectly!!!! Just so you know the chocolate version of the short sleeve sweater also matches the brown/natural Ikat skirt.....Hope this helps. I wanted to get back to you ASAP so you can get some wear out of it this Summer and Fall. Add some turquoise or red chunky beads to the purple sweater and skirt....it will look wonderful....................Louis

HELLO.........from Louis
Hello.....it was great to hear from all of you! Yes, our vacation was a huge wash out....weather wise..........and it hasn't stopped raining yet!!! I can't believe this weather.....it's really depressing!!! Between all the rain and the RABBITS, my garden is a wreck! I'm starting to get real grumpy..It's pouring, and cold in Ct. today, and the weather report is dismal......................I NEED THE SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay now that I've gotten that off my chest.....let's talk..........
Mostwanted, We couldn't agree with you more!!! Cap Juluca, on Anguilla is our favorite place. We have been there many, many times. Jac and I had heard that the new owners were expanding and adding 200 ROOMS. I don't know where they could build them, unless, they put them along the salt pond on the other side of the road. I hope they don't do that....it would destroy the beauty and exclusiveness of the place. Every now and then we decide to try some place we haven't been. We've gone to St. Martin, St Barts, Turks and Caicos, Petite St. Vincent, Tortola, Saba, Jamaica, Malibu, Hawaii, etc. etc. Let me say....the grass is definitely NOT greener on the other side. C.J. is still our favorite, that's why we hope they don't ruin it. The only place I know we have liked more are.............the Greek islands........... ...................................FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
ghb, as you know I am a Leo. I once had my astrological chart done, and my sun, moon and rising sign are all in Leo....what ever that means? My friends in the know, tell me that's incredible!......I wouldn't know. Jac, my adorable wife, is a Taurus! We have been told that we are astrological opposites too! We are two very strong people, and it can make life very interesting! For the most part, we are like two peas in a pod. We think alike, we like the same things and have the same tastes....so I would say we are much more alike than we are different. So much for astrological opposites!!
I am not doing any jumpsuits for Fall. I am however, making some jumpsuit samples for next Spring. I think they can be a fun item for those who like them.....they aren't for everyone....and that's Okay. I have worn military styled jump suits years ago [they were very in], so I know all the pros and cons of wearing one. I'll make my decision when I see the samples. For this coming Fall....I think I have out done myself! The clothes, in my opinion are breathtaking, and certainly look 10 TIMES what they actually cost. There will be pant and skirt suits in black, taupe, ink [a very dark navy], java brown [a very deep, warm brown], and a VERY important steel gray....to name just a few. I know when you wear these clothes, you will knock your Beverly Hills friends, right out of their shoes....that's how gorgeous I think the clothes are!!!
DBL, "The Upper Napa Valley", it sounds so exotic!......What an intoxicating place to live...LOL. Jac and I have been to the Napa Valley and loved it. We did all the touristy things, and ate at great restaurants, and...........drank....a...little...LOL. I, however, don't know where the lower Napa Valley ends, and the upper Valley begins? I know you will be pleased with many items coming for Fall. I think they will be perfect for the wine country! I will have Fall shows every month...starting with the Fall Designer Gallery show at the end of July, which kicks off the season. Then I have shows in Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov., and Dec......that's a lot of clothes. I'm glad you received, and liked your Milano knit sweater, and I'm sure you will look great in your crochet sweater at a wine tasting!
Saint Louis Gal, for me, there isn't a method for designing clothes. Sometimes it starts with a sketch, a fabric, a color, a movie etc. etc.......I've even been inspired by a new aluminum garbage can. In the case of the Ikat prints...it started with the fabric. I found the pattern from one of my print suppliers, but it originally was much larger. I had them reduce the pattern to the size I liked and then on the computer worked out different color combination. I chose the brown/natural and the purple/ivory combination. Then I chose the cotton jacquard fabric I wanted it printed on. I started sketching and put into work samples to chose from. I liked the print so much that I thought it would be beautiful printed with multicolors. After I selected the colors I decided to print this version on crinkle chiffon, to give it a totally different look that the bi-color cotton jacquard. The sketching was next. I loved the way both versions of the print came out. One fabric was more tailored, yet feminine, with the jewels accenting the jacket. I added the skirt to make it a very special occasion suit, [even though each piece can be worn separately]. For the crinkle chiffon, I want a softer, more ethnic look, which I felt suited the print and fabric, hence the scoop neck peasant top and tiered skirt. Again, I thought they looked great worn together as a two piece dress, or as separates. Jac wore the tiered skirt in brown, with the brown tank and beautiful beads necklaces, on our vacation.....she looked beautiful.....even if it was raining!
Soldout, I couldn't be more pleased that you got the safari jacket and pant in the sand color. I think that particular fabric
in that particular shade of sand came out fantastic....it almost looks like pale gold.
Yes, Yes Yes to all your questions about Fall. There will be incredible pant and skirt suits, beautiful separates, tunics, shirts, blouses, sweaters, outerwear, coats, etc., etc. The evening clothes are incredible....and the suedes...OMG! Honestly, the new fabrics, details, and workmanship are astonishing! I can't believe we could get clothes that look like this at these prices. I'm sure you will be astonished too! I am starting to get my samples in, which are actually the first runs of production, and they are beautiful.....I'm so excited! I can't wait to present them!! The colors include the classics: black, java brown, taupe, ink navy, and a new and VERY important steel gray. These colors will works with all of my Fall clothes. Then I add the accent colors: blush peach pink, oyster, silver gray, amethyst, purple, ruby, pine green, a beautiful shocking rose pink, turquoise, peacock.....to name just a few!! The fabrics are exceptional....truly designer quality.....new boucles, silk jacquards, meltons, crepes, crinkle georgettes, a new stretch velvet that's fantastic, new knit fabrics and on and on. It's a candy store and I'm sure you will all be doing the "Happy Dance". I guarantee you will look like a MILLION DOLLARS!!!!
See you all July 7th for my last Spring show.
All our love Louis, Jac, Ellie and the bunny chasing Annie!

Louis answers all you questions!
Hi everyone....Well, we are back from our vacation. Let's say it wasn't HEAVENLY! It was cloudy and rained every day! We are glad to get home to our 2 girls. However, we will not be deterred, and we're hoping to get away again before the summer is over. We are still on the quest for the perfect beach!!!!
I promised I would get back to you with all of your questions and comments. First, let me remind you that I will be on Tuesday,June 2nd at 1:00am and 4:00pm. A good time to review some of the new Spring items and some reorders. Now for your long list of questions:
BelleFemme, I am so happy you are enjoying your clothes, and that you think "I am the designer for you". I don't know if the ivory skirt is going to be reordered yet, but when I know....I'll let you know.
630ParkAve, I'm glad to hear you ordered the mock neck in the cornflower blue. I think it's a very flattering color and looks great with bold silver jewelry....gold's not bad either!
Shopper1, You have an AKII jacket from 85' or 86'! I did literally thousands of jackets....I don't really remember the one your speaking of, but the description is very clear.....thanks for the suggestion.
Shaferbirmingham, I appreciate....that you appreciate all the hard work I put into accessorizing the models. I think it's very important to show different ways the clothing can be worn. It's just a suggestion, and hopefully stimulates all of your imaginations.
Soldout, The black blazer with the white poker chip buttons will look great with the cornflower floral print skirt, but I guess you know that by now....LOL....Thanks for being a "regular".
Wildrose, the A00140 cardigan in red will not be coming back. QVC did want to reorder it, but, because the increase in price that the factory wanted was too much, they didn't.That has been happening a lot recently. It is getting harder and harder to maintain the quality and keep the prices within the QVC guide lines. I prefer to drop an item, then jeopardize the quality.
LindafromBoston, I love the fact that I can bring all of you TRUE designer styling and quality at such affordable prices. Before designing for QVC, I wouldn't have thought it was possible. Recently, Jac and I went to a well known 5th Ave store. I was truly shocked at the prices of the clothes....for junk! I guess I'm getting jaded by QVC. It's amazing to me that the clothes I design [with all the details and quality of fabric] can be produced at these prices. Again, it is very gratifying to me that you appreciate them.
~K~, I'm thrilled you liked the chocolate croco jacquard jacket. It's getting so hard to find interesting CHIC, fabrics that the are affordable, but I am finding some beauties for next season!!!!
Every time I find one.... I do a happy dance too!!!!
TangerineBlk, I had already asked the factories to find stretch linings. I have been told the the price of each garment would increase considerably, but I'm still researching. By the way....it's good to know some of you still want and love LINEN...........it's one of my favorite fabrics. For me, as a designer, there is nothing like the pure, natural fibered fabrics.
Reluctant Customer......So....now you have your navy, stretch, cotton blazer....and your HAPPY!.....any more suggestions?...LOL
GloriaFlorida....thanks so much for being a fan! Enjoy wearing the clothes.
CindyluWho, Enjoy your emb. linen jacket. It's nice to hear that.....even in a hospital, you can bring enjoyment, just by wearing something pretty.
Diamondscribe, I had no idea that 3x bottoms were difficult to get. This is the first I'm hearing of it. The Q usually orders every style in every size, but I certainly will speak to my buyer about it.
Beano, Sorry you are finding the dresses too short. Please measure the length of a dress you like...from the high point shoulder [at neck line] to the hem, and let me know the measurement. I didn't make the buttons functional on the sleeve of the linen blazer, because it is very difficult and expensive to shorten a sleeve when it has operating button holes. That doesn't mean that in the future I won't do working buttons, but it will be on very specific jackets. Of course, when the sleeve is 3/4 lenght, it's not an issue.
Ranunculus, Thank you for all your kind words. I can only hope that you always find something from my collection that you must have!
DBL, I hope you like your new black tunic [one of my favorite pieces]. Jac wore it on our vacation, with some beautiful long beads, and white carpi pants. She looked fantastic....even if it was raining!!!!!
Yvonne, thank you for all of your suggestions. I think you will be pleased at what is coming for next Fall. I can't say that everything is without some wool, but many more fabrics are wool free. I have no idea at this point if the Q will bring back the A89323 jacket in lime. It is still avail. in red and white, which are both beautiful.
SaintLouisGal, The purple Ikat skirt is beautiful, and definitely pair it with red. However, don't limit the way you can wear it. Many colors, including Turquoise would also look great. It all depends how you accessorize it [turq and amethyst beads].
GHB, you are going to look sooo chic in your all black outfits. What can I say.....Black is just beautiful.
