How to Pick the Proper Pillow
Choosing the correct pillow is one of the most important decisions we make toward getting a better night’s sleep. The proper pillow should offer support without sacrificing comfort, and it should be designed to meet your individual needs. There are so many different types of pillows to choose from, so how do you know which pillow will be right for you?

If you find that you tend to stack two or more pillows together in an effort to get more support, a gusset pillow may be just what you are looking for. Gussets offer a greater sweet spot for the head and neck and allow the fill to spread out evenly all the way to the edges of the pillow. There is more surface area where you can receive excellent support to the neck and the crown of the head. A gusset pillow will also help place your head in a more natural alignment than two pillows stacked.

Perhaps you fight with your pillow throughout the night, punching it and trying to get it into the shape you need for better support and comfort. An adjustable pillow is what you need; one that will contour to the head and neck regardless of the position you sleep in. Down pillows can be soft or firm, and usually work best if you are looking for adjustability. Down will contour around the head and neck, changing shape as you change positions throughout the night. For sleepers who change position often or who need to maintain a more natural alignment while sleeping, down pillows work beautifully.

Do you fold your pillow in half trying to get a firmer feel and better support? If this sounds like you, try a pillow with an inner design. We make several pillows that have inner designs which are created to offer a firm support in the center of the pillow. The inner portion of the pillow is usually filled with a type of feather for firmer support, while the outer pillow area is filled with down for comfort and adjustability. Look for pillows with designs like Down Around™, Slumber Core™, Tria, Embrace, or even Uncrushable™. A pillow that has an inner design should not need to be folded.

Don’t be discouraged if it takes a little time to find the perfect pillow. Once you have identified the best pillow for you, the restful nights of sleep you receive make it worth the effort.

Sleep well,

I had previously wasted much time and money buying and trying pillows from almost every where -- from the local Marts to sleep specialty shops -- and could not find pillows comfortable enough and supportive enough to give me a good nights sleep.

Finally I was watching QVC one day and saw pillows from Northern Nights being shown; they looked nice and sounded almost too good to be true, so I said what the heck and ordered two of them. They were absolutely wonderful and I really did get a good nights sleep; actually had thought I would probably need two of them stacked to sleep on, but I happily discovered that I only needed to sleep on one pillow; it was very comfortable and supported my head and neck.

I recently wanted to order another of these pillows but apparently this particular item is no longer available. :(

I ordered a similar pillow but it just was not as good as "my" pillow so I would not be happy with any substitute.

QVC could you please consider getting this wonderful pillow back in stock again?

The Item Number is H-115797

The Item is Northern Nights Standard Size Gussetted
Quilt Top Down Pillow.

Thank you. :)
