My Time with Mary Beth

Hi, Everyone! I hope all of you who are moms had a wonderful Mother's Day! I sure did. I had an excellent day with Mark and all the kids. Eric was home from college for the weekend. His junior year of college just ended, but he's going back to Washington, DC to take some summer classes and get ready to take the LSAT, which is the law test you take before applying to law schools. He's hoping to go to law school after he graduates from college next year. I always knew he would make a good lawyer, because he used to argue with me until I didn't remember what we were arguing about! He used to be a debater in high school, so it's right up his alley!

The weekend was also special, because Cory went to his first prom! He's a junior in high school, and he really hasn't even dated at all, so it was his first date! Of course, I cried when I saw him all dressed up in his tuxedo, and then I followed him to his date's house (with his permission) to take pictures before they went off to the school for prom. It's exciting to see our kids grow up, but it's also bittersweet, because I think "where did my little boy go?" I feel like he changed from a boy to a man over the last year, and you wonder where has the time gone? But he had a great time...I stayed home and prayed, and he actually was home by l0:30pm! That made me sleep better that night!

My kids were all so sweet on Mother's Day and wrote such nice things in their cards that it makes all the stress and hard work worth it that comes with having children. The joys outweigh the work! Mark was also very sweet in giving me my favorite flower, roses. He's always been a 'flower giver' throughout our marriage...it can't hurt! Anyway, I hope your day was wonderful, too, in whatever way your family remembered you.

Speaking of children, this Wednesday morning in My Time with Mary Beth, we will be talking about Time for Spring Cleaning with a couple of great ideas. We will also be talking about Time for Summer. Is it getting hot in your part of the country? We've had a couple of 'heat waves' come through Philly in the last month followed by cold spells, so the weather has been up and down, but I have a great fan to show you to cool you off!

Then we will talk about Time for Wellness, which will include our Today's Special Value. It will be from the "Biggest Loser", so if you watch that show, this will interest you as well as those of you who have never seen the show.

So I hope you have you watching with me Wednesday morning at 9am, and have a terrific week!

Blessings to you,
Mary Beth

Your blog is like talking with a good friend. It's nice that you tell us about your family. You have remained very sweet through the years! Your family sounds wonderful. Thanks for the heads up regarding your next show.
Hi MaryBeth,
I can hardly believe that your children are growing up so quickly either. I remember you from the beginning and the kids were small. Wow, college and high school God bless you! My son was a challenge in high school. Would not want to live that part of my life over again even if you paid me.
He is now 41 and mature, actually, unbelievable. At times he lectures me!! Role reversal I guess.
I like the products you present and you make me feel like I should buy them all! Of course I can't do that, but I get what we need the most. Thank you for explaining each product so well.
Keep up the good work.
God bless,
Glad you had a nice Mother's Day,:-x
Dear MaryBeth,
I am home recovering from surgery, and had the time to read your Blog. All I can say Is where did the time go? I have watched you on QVC from the first time you hosted a show. To hear about your children and their ages really makes me realize that time has flown, and my goodness I feel OLD!!!!
Cory going to a junior prom, I remember when he was born and you showing pictures of him as a toddler. Well Now I am a grandmother of a 3 year old, so YES time does fly. Enjoy the NOW, and I loved you as a host then, and I still Love you till this day. You do a great job, infact I had emailed you many years ago telling you how I enjoyed your presentations, and you emailed me right back. I always thought that was so nice of you with your busy schedule. Take Care, and God Bless you, and yours. Keep up the great work Mary Beth :)
I also have four children and our oldest is graduating high school. I enjoy them and cherish them every single day. I enjoy you and your blog. We seem to live the same life--juggling the home, the kids, the activties, the church committments--I wouldn't change a thing! God Bless you always, Mary Beth!!
