My Time with Mary Beth

Well, did you like my April Fool's joke last Wednesday? Did I really fool you with the dark-haired wig? I actually fooled my Mom and Dad! My mom told me that for the first 1-2 minutes, she was very upset, thinking I really had dyed my hair black for a change. But then they had a good hearty laugh once they saw I was still a blonde. I look alot like my Mom, which is probably why she was upset that I didn't look like her anymore with the wig on! If you missed it, I'm sorry, but it was pretty funny.

What a busy week this is for our family! The kids are off from school, so Mark is doing alot to keep them occupied, driving them here and there while I work, but I am so looking forward to having all of my children home for the Easter weekend, especially Eric, who has been away at college since January. We'll all be together again for a few days, and that is always so joyful for me! I will be making ham and turkey, because all of us like ham except Eric, so I make a small turkey breast for him and anyone else who wants both. We go to church first, then a nice big dinner(at lunchtime), and then an Easter egg hunt.

Mark and I hide candy (in the plastic eggs) in four different rooms of our house, and each child gets to claim a room and the candy in it. I usually hide the pieces for the two youngest, and Mark hides the candy for the two oldest (because they are taller and smarter)! Yes, Eric, at 21, still wants to be a part of that. I told them they can hunt for eggs until they are married! That will probably be a long time from now, I hope! I hope you all have an excellent family time during this Easter/Passover season!

This Wednesday morning, April 8th, we will be taking Time in the Kitchen with one of my favorite guests, Mark Charles Misilli. He's always bringing great products to QVC, and he's fun to work with. If you want to do a little more cooking in your microwave, he has the perfect product to help you.

This is also a great time of year to take Time to Do It Yourself. We have items prepared that the women can do themselves rather than waiting for someone else to do it for us. Little touches to our homes that make them more practical as well as more beautiful for very little money and not alot of effort is always on my good list!

We will wrap up the show with Time for Summer, bringing you something that you need right now, and a Today's Special Value that will dress you up a bit no matter what your age! Watch and find out what it is!

By the way, next week's show is taking place on tax day, April 15th, so we will have some really special things happening that day to make you smile, and then on April 22nd, it is Earth Day, with some great ideas for doing things that will help make your environment around you, right where you live.

Have a wonderful week, and blessings to all of you!

Mary Beth

I was home a few days this week, and, got to see two of Mary Beth's shows. I thoroughly love these shows, and the products! I put an order in for the enamel coffee mugs in ocean blue that started the show off today, April 8th. Also, I am going to try the microwave square baking dish. I am so looking forward to getting this!
I enjoy Mary Beth's show so much and her blog. It is like she is having us ladies over and sharing with us.
Thank you, and, have a wonderful Easter with your entire family!!!

Hello Mary Beth, We want to thank you for introducing our family today from the Cottage Farms studio audience. Josie & daughters from PA. You made our day! The trip was an Easter surprise for Mom and she just loved it and so did we girls. It was our first time visiting QVC. We were so excited when we discovered David was the host and you would also be in the audience. How lucky we were to get to meet our two favorite hosts.

We have tried in the past to get reservations to the show, but it's been difficult to get in on one. Not realizing April 11th was the day before a holiday, we jumped on it. Mom always has the family over on Holy Saturday for Easter Omlet and bakes bread with the grandchildren, now with great grandchildren. So thanks to her four adult granddaughters, we were able to make the show. The girls did a wonderful job of getting dinner ready, which made it possible for us to enjoy the show, knowing everything would be taken care of.

Anyway, thank you again for being so sweet. We are wishing you and your family a very blessed Easter.

Mary Beth,

I love your 'hosting'. Can you convey the need for more Quaker Factory summer dresses? I loved the Quaker "T" shirt dresses a few years back with little figures on the dresses. Can we see more!!!
