From wonderful QVC Shows and gatherings, to celebrating 20 years of marriage to my handsome husband, an unforgettable 3 Day 60 Mile Breast Cancer walk with my good friend Nancy Hornback, time spent with precious grand-kids and more, 2014 was quite a wonderful year! And now it’s been topped off with the unbelievable honor of the Customer Choice QStar Award! Of all of the amazing brands on QVC, you, our collectors, have voted to honor us!
This is especially meaningful because it truly is from you, and for you. We have built these wonderful brands and community ... Continue Reading

You know how I always say "go bold or go home" ? Well, that was my philosophy in 1998, our first Christmas in our new home. The ceiling is 18 feet high, so Bill, Tiffany, Miles and I set out on a quest for a tree worthy of this new space. We found it!
You should have seen Bill and the tree-lot attendant strapping this mammoth tree to the roof of our SUV, and the looks we got on the drive back around the mountain to our home on the Turquoise Trail. A possible sequel to Christmas Vacation is what probably ran through many minds! Caught up in the magic of the moment,... Continue Reading

This holiday season, I am so grateful that our family is blessed with health and happiness. We celebrated with a vacation on Oahu with our son Miles, his wife Heather and our precious granddaughter Grace. It was so nice to have a week to get to know her, she will turn one on December 23rd, and we hadn’t seen her since April! We found we have a lot in common. We both love swimming, Christmas trees, luaus and Mickey Mouse! About the only thing we didn’t see eye to eye on is that sand is an irresistible snack.
The adventure continues ... Continue Reading

My Grandma Dooley was a wonderful baker. I remember sitting around her kitchen table on Christmas Day passing platters and tins of various family favorites. It was as if we were at the most amazing cookie exchange, only Grandma made them ALL! Even after indulging, there were enough to send each of us home with a little goodie bag! Out of all of the colorful, sugary, pretty choices, my favorite was, and still is, Grandma’s Oatmeal Crisps. Now they have become my family’s favorite. They are wonderful on their own, and fabulous with vanilla ice cream.&n... Continue Reading

I absolutely love this Christmas song. The Doris Day Christmas album was one of my favorites growing up, and still is! Now that I am a Grandma of three, I think I’m feeling a little more nostalgic this season. In my quest to come up with the perfect presents for the little ones, I have been thinking back on the most memorable gifts from my childhood. My mom raised her four children alone. While we didn’t expect many material things throughout the year, somehow she always pulled off the most amazing surprises on Christmas Eve. She lovingly refers to her late brot... Continue Reading

This Thanksgiving will be very different for me.
Thanksgiving has long been a favorite holiday of mine. I have so many fond memories of gathering with my Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles and 14 cousins at my Aunt Jenny and Uncle Wayne’s home in Minnesota. I am so fortunate to have grown up close to my extended family, and remember that on this day, as we all gathered around the many folding tables, one by one we shared what we were thankful for. Most often, the expressions of gratitude were for one another. We loved each other, and still do. After dinner we would head... Continue Reading

It’s my favorite time of year, so Bill and I jam packed our weekend before I head off to QVC! The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta kicked off on Saturday, and the morning mass ascension was spectacular! We couldn’t have asked for better weather. I just love seeing 100,000+ smiles!
Next, we headed to the Grecian Festival for some food, music and dance. It makes me happy to see teenage boys and girls dressed in traditional clothing proudly and joyfully performing their Greek dances. From there, we headed to Wagner Farms in the Village of Corrales fo... Continue Reading

A week ago, Nancy Hornback and I spent an amazing weekend together, walking 60 miles over 3 days for breast cancer. We walked ALL over Philadelphia, through beautiful neighborhoods where schoolchildren came out to cheer us on, to the historic sights of downtown, and ending at the majestic Navy Yard. The official cheering stations, as well as the countless signs and decorations on private homes and businesses, often brought tears to my eyes. We met so many wonderful people along the way. I am proud to say this was my 8th walk; however, that is nothing compared to Jim fro... Continue Reading

This is a very big week for me. I am so excited to be heading back to QVC this weekend for two shows on September 7. I’ll be with Jennifer at 4:00am and Antonella at 4:00pm, what fun! While we have all been crazy for Sleeping Beauty Turquoise this year, I am thrilled to celebrate some other luscious, magical gems on this visit. Back in February, at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, I discovered the availability of the most awesome quality Charoite and Apatite, two gems I have always loved, but cannot always have! I also fell in love with a new stone c... Continue Reading

I have always been of the belief that too much open work on the top of a ring is not very attractive. Well, I sure changed my mind when I tried on a few of this year’s HOT “X” rings at the JCK Show in Las Vegas. There is something so feminine yet powerful, and a little edgy in this silhouette. Maybe it’s the way this motif allows us to wear a knuckle to knuckle ring without it feeling heavy or uncomfortable.
After nearly 40 years in jewelry, Bill is so excited about this new ring silhouette that he has been wearing our prototype to lunch every day to get in... Continue Reading
